Wesley's Notes for Exodus 33:18

33:18 I beseech thee shew me thy glory - Moses had lately been in the mount with God, and had had as intimate communion with God, as ever any man had on this side heaven, and yet he is still desiring a farther acquaintance. Shew me thy glory - Make me to see it; so the word is: make it some way or other visible, and enable me to bear the sight of it. Not that he was so ignorant as to think God's essence could be seen with bodily eyes, but having hitherto only heard a voice out of a pillar of cloud or fire, he desired to see some representation of the divine glory, such as God saw fit to gratify him with.

So many people say they want to see God's glory but don't know they'll die if they do. You are in the Clift of The Rock n it's covered by God's hands because it is not time for you to know and receive that blessing yet. Just be happy that you are being protected, guarded and when it is God's will, he will remove his hand and you'll be able to see what God has left BEHIND for you to enjoy n share.

In verse 11, ...but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. We have a High Priest interceding for us... In Zechariah, Joshua the high priest was clothed in filthy rags then clean clothes were given to him and Zechariah referred to the BRANCH. Also later when Joshua was given a crown... I believe these 3 instances foreshadow the Name above every Name!!!

Verse 13~Moses prayed to know Jehovah God's ways. He had witnessed many miracles and had the chance to know some of God's ways but he wanted to keep learning.
