Wesley's Notes for Exodus 22:29

22:29 The first - born of thy sons shalt thou give unto me - And much more reason have we to give ourselves and all we have to God, who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all. The first ripe of their corn they must not delay to offer; there is danger if we delay our duty, lest we wholly omit it; and by slipping the first opportunity in expectation of another, we suffer Satan to cheat us of all our time.

I do not know why people believe certain section of the bible is not meant for them or this dispensation. To any believer, the complete bible starts from Genesis and ends in Revelation. If what some people are saying is anything to go by, Christians are no more supposed to be reading old testament. Tithes paying, Psalms etc are in old testament, why do we still practise them?

"Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people." It is written, that "He called them gods, to whom the word of God came:" this law is that we not be misled away after the pride and rebellion of the heathen. Parents, elders, those who take the lead in the Lord; these are whom we reverence and submit ourselves under. As well the rulers of our workplace, our Country, our Nation.

I love you god: This is a book of the Old Testament. Before Jesus was sacrificed for our sins. We Now accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Living Christ-like.

Circumcision and sacrifices are not allowed anymore. Since Jesus died for our sins there's no reason to be sacrificing anymore; therefore, God was not talking about this.
