Wesley's Notes for Exodus 16:12

16:12 And ye shall know that I am the Lord your God - This gave proof of his power as the Lord, and his particular favour to them as their God; when God plagued the Egyptians, it was to make them know that he is the Lord; when he provided for the Israelites, it was to make them know that he was their God.

Verse 33: And Moses said unto Aaron,Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations. The same “manna”, that stinks, if kept over night; now ikept for”generations”.NO:WORMS:ROTTENESS: SMELL:Only GOD!There is no Limit to our GOD! He is so Awesome. Is there anything too hard for Him, NO! HE IS :ALL SEEING:ALL KNOWING, GOD. TRUST HIM.

I think this is Exodus 16 is a good reminder that God will take care of us and to put Faith and trust in him also not to do things are own way ,which I know I'm always working on

Verse 12: Jehovah God can hear any murmuring against his spokesmen and he takes such murmuring personal.

What stands out as extraordinary in the character and behavior of the people? These special and favored people saw all of God's mighty works done right before their eyes; and yet they could not find a way to receive His Spirit, repent and be converted, and become His loving obedient children! Our generation has had the Bible, and all of history testifying to us: but where is the fruit?
  • IMMANUEL MOSES
Albeit God given his heavenly blessings, we often tend to testify him for mundane things, we trailed ourselves, God always blessed us in ample manner, we need to know where we are lacking.
  • Hi Rachel, I am a seventh day Adventist - Sabbath is on Saturday. Jews kept it and still do ever so methodically. Sunday as the rest of holy day was instituted a few hundred years after Christ's death. Sunday observance is not biblical. It is an invention. Jesus kept Sabbth so did his disciples before and after his death. The only way Roman Catholics or other Christian denominations justify keeping Sunday as Sabbath and some even call it Sabbath is by saying Jesus rose on Sunday - let's celebrate it - but this is a human invention. Roman Catholic Church even proves that Protestant church adhere to Catholicism by keeping Sunday holy. Other Christian denominations say it doesn't matter which day you worship God on - so long as you do. But God did not sanctify Sunday or bless. I chose to marry and love and cherish just one specific woman - not any other. So there are endless theories out there as to why Sunday should be the day - but the truth remains: it is not in the bible - it's false. I was Christian orthodox Eastern Europe and when I heard about Saturday being the last day of the week - the holy day - I was so blown away - and I decided that I did not want to be orthodox Christian anymore. I was in my early teens and I am 32 now - it has been by far the one decision that I like very very much.
