Wesley's Notes for Acts 2:45

2:45 And sold their possessions - Their lands and houses; and goods - Their movables. And parted them to all as any one had need - To say the Christians did this only till the destruction of Jerusalem, is not true; for many did it long after. Not that there was any positive command for so doing: it needed not; for love constrained them. It was a natural fruit of that love wherewith each member of the community loved every other as his own soul. And if the whole Christian Church had continued in this spirit, this usage must have continued through all ages. To affirm therefore that Christ did not design it should continue, is neither more nor less than to affirm, that Christ did not design this measure of love should continue. I see no proof of this.

People's Bible Notes for Acts 2:45

Ac 2:45 Sold their possessions. Real estate. Goods. Personal property. Parted them to all [men]. On this special liberality we may note, (1) It partly arose from the non-resident or pilgrim character of a large part of the converts. (2) It was not an obligatory rule; the laws of ownership or property were not disturbed or questioned. Even Ananias might have kept all his land unblamed.

These are all counterfeits. Not one in the flesh can speak the words of GOD, my Holy Father, but Jesus Christ. The wicked fabricated all manner of falsehood waiting for the coming of Jesus, even Christ being raised again from the dead, yet confess not that Jesus Christ is come. Nevertheless, this present evil world will end just as the last world. For it is written, The scripture cannot be broken:

ACTS 2:38 is not an option but is necessary for salvation!

The essence of Chapter 2 is the gift of the Holy Ghost to enable us as witnesses, yet many today deny it's existence and power, it is the promise Jesus made when he promised to pray the Father for another to also give us power even miracles for witness and glory to God's power today in the church. Why do they have to show Oral Robert's films to show miracles in today's church? May God awaken us!
