2 Esdras 15:59 Context

⁵⁷Thy children shall die of hunger, and thou shalt fall through the sword: thy cities shalbe broken downe, and all thine shall perish with the sword in the field. ⁵⁸They that be in the mountaines shall die of hunger, and eate their owne flesh, and drinke their owne blood, for very hunger of bread, & thirst of water. ⁵⁹Thou, as vnhappy, shalt come through the Sea, and receiue plagues againe. ⁶⁰And in the passage, they shall rush on the idle citie, and shall destroy some portion of thy land, and consume part of thy glory, and shall returne to Babylon that was destroyed. ⁶¹And thou shalt be cast downe by them, as stubble, and they shall be vnto thee as fire,
