47Woe be vnto thee thou wretch, because thou hast made thy selfe like vnto her, and hast deckt thy daughters in whoredome, that they might please and glory in thy louers, which haue alway desired to commit whordome with thee. 48Thou hast followed her, that is hated in all her works and inuentions: therefore sayth God, 49I will send plagues vpon thee: widowhood, pouertie, famine, sword, and pestilence, to waste thy houses with destruction and death. 50And the glory of the power shall be dried vp as floure, when the heate shall arise that is sent ouer thee. 51Thou shalt bee weakened as a poore woman with stripes, and as one chastised with woundes, so that the mightie and louers shall not be able to receiue thee.
