6:29 Cherubim - As signs of the presence and protection of the angelsvouch - safed by God to that place. Palm - trees - Emblems of that peace andvictory over their enemies, which the Israelites duly serving God inthat place might expect. Within and without - Within the oracle andwithout it, in the holy place.
