If a person places their desire to have more money first in their lives, they are choosing not to put God first. When this happens their minds loose focus on God's will for their lives. Their focus is then easily pulled towards evil easy ways to obtain more money.

A great encouragement for those of us that are in a real spiritual battle. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but the devil and his servants. We fight with the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, prayer, worship, professions of our faith based on the Word, the authority we have from the Lord for treading on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. We had a beaver recently destroying our property. He was caught in a snare which was wired to a barbed wire fence. He fought and fought till he finally broke the wire that was holding him and got free. I believe it was an object lesson to me to keep fighting "like the beaver. " And besides fighting, we need to take hold of eternal life. Jesus promised us an abundant life. He promised the water of life to whosoever wills rev 22:17 . If he promised it, I 'm taking it! He does not lie. We have to take hold if it by faith. The Lord said that since the days of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. We need to get violent in our fight of faith against the enemy! Praise the Lord!
The love for money goes beyond the need for money. Only God can help our hearts to keep our priorities right but it must be a work we do on ourselves by understanding our needs, that God provides it to us for our good, that we dont have extort others because of it.

I pray for my family and for myself that we can all live lives worthy of earning a place in heaven. It is hard to get ahead in this life especially if you are not fortunate to have a college degree or have a low paying job and can barely pay rent. I pray that people realize not everyone is as fortunate as they are and while money takes away a lot of worries it cannot make them truly happy. Only love for one another can do this. And so I pray for love and peace and happiness on earth and that everyone one earth can have
