  • Alex on 1 Timothy 4:8
Exodus 3 v 15 Comments by Alex on the TRINITY, Why i believe in the Trinity. There is only 1 God the Father but this 1 God the Father had a Son whom he instructs ALL the angels to worship . The Father wd be breaking the 1 st commandment if he instructed All the angels to WORSHIP the Son if he were not God the Son . In Hebrews 1 it says unto the Son, he says thy throne O GOD is forever and ever etc. This is my beloveth Son in whom i am well pleased. But the SON is not impotent he has a seed to sow which is his word saying to whom the word came it made them Gods plural ,thus we see the Son is gona be a Father, the Child is the H.G. tHE GRANSON IN RANK WITH Jacob .Thus we see 3 father son and granson just like Abraham Issac and Jacob . Thats y he told Moses i am the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob that is my name forever and my memorial to ALL GENERATIONS, Father son and granson resulting in the nation of ISRAEL. God almighty cd NOT tell Moses that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob if his kingdom were not a Father Son and Granson scenario , A FAMILY . Just like the Davidic Kingdom was Jesse, David and Solomon a family . Thats y the scripture speaks of an Israel of God, Its God Almighty that wants a posterity and Christ was just his 1st born of many brethren impling a family a heavenly family An ISRAEL OF GOD Thats y he told Moses that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob prophetic of an Israel of God that y Jesus is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G THE Child of PROMISE, THE Israel of God, we sinners are just a joint heir with the H.G That heavenly Jacob, Isaiah speaks of in 49 . If ya dont understand the abrahamic trinity ya will not understand the heavenly trinity . Abraham offered up his only son Issac just as God Almighty offered up his only son Jesus THAT PROVES THE TRINITY the Godhead, That ram caught in the thicket by his horns was symbolic of Christ, his Crown of Thorns. They remembered th ram caught in thicket when saw Jesus .

Mmmm... I can't remember the address but when JESUS comes. His chariot is described with 2 rams horns on it. I believe they are golden ram horns?
  • Chris - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4:8
Jesus Christ's coming from Heaven is described in the Book of the Revelation, chapter 19, verses 11-16, but you should read the whole chapter.
  • Kevin Kelly on 1 Timothy 4:8
Yeshua is the LORDS birth given name . Why then is the name Jesus used in millions of conversions? Practically , the name of Yeshua is non existent in Christian circles an when it is used it almost comes under attack because It is the name of Jesus that is above every name? (Acts 4:12) - which brings me to my second point , In the original language this scripture would say Yeshua, but then isn't the whole of humanity being a bit deceived by using another name?

    Thank you an Many Blessings!
  • Richard in Christ - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4:8
    Hello Kevin,

I feel to respond to your post as this does seem to come up often today. Sometimes with some bad "myths" being made up also. So yes, Yeshua(in English phonetic) is the Lord's name in Hebrew. I believe the original was "Yehoshua" then shortened to "Yeshua". As Greek was, I'll say, more popular around the time of Christ. If you translate Yeshua letter by letter into Greek you get "Iesous"(English phonetic). Some people may believe Iesous Christos (Jesus Christ) had it's origin in the New Testament. Actually, 2 centuries before Christ's birth it(Iesous) was already in the Septuagint which was the first Greek translation of the Jewish Old Testament. Then getting to Latin Iesous would be Iesus. Then as we get to English. As the letter "J" is only about 400 years old. In the 1611 KJV Bible the Lord's name is still Iesus. I believe it was around 1629 when they started using the "J" and Jesus came about.

So as it does sound different than Yeshua, or Joshua, it does carry the same meaning of the name. As it's translational roots trace all the way back to "Yehoshua". People may not know that Hebrew is the only language that is semantic not just phonetic. As I see people braking the word Jesus or Iesous down trying to say it has different meanings and what not. This is not true and Hebrew is the only language that has that ability. As my name Richard. Should this mean I should have a lot of money or be rich? No. Some words, and names, can be made up ,or put together, but this does not mean you can cut every word or name up, in any language, and think you can find it's meaning.

I hope this helps a little with your question. Jesus Christ is Lord and that is the name I was saved by. If people want to call Him by His Hebrew spoken name Yeshua that's fine. Hopefully people don't think this will bring them closer to the Lord. And may our Father Bless those people who are cursing others for using Jesus Christ. Amen.
  • Joe on 1 Timothy 4
Lisa M: Paul's references to son are made because he was instrumental in bringing both men to Christ and thus creating a new life for them - the spiritual equivalent of being a biological father.

I don't know what the originial scripture said, but in this case I believe the meaning is quite clear.
  • Rob on 1 Timothy 4
I have heard some say it's ok to pray to the Holy Spirit , and even some will worship Him !

    What says the scriptures?

Can anyone show a verse that teaches or practices praying TOO the spirit ?

Multitudes of verses praying through the spirit , very much not the same thing .

    Read John 16 v 13 , 14 , 15

The Holy Spirit never draws attention to himself but to The Lord Jesus and Father .

    In 1 Timothy 4. .1

Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith , giving heed to seducing spirits , and doctrines of devils .

Yes we are in the latter times , so even some can be tricked into going after these false imitation s of the Holy Spirit . So these spirits are more persuasive than the written word . Yes they are real indeed .

Our only safeguard is the truth of the scriptures .

False prophets will be under their control and be able to do many things supernatural. Yet false . To deceive people from the truth .

At one time RCC forbid Their priests to marry , interesting!

The Spirit of truth will lead you into all truth , but these seducing spirits will attempt to deceive if you do not hold to the word of God in truth .

Anything contrary to sound doctrine is error . It evaluates the spirits . Read 1 John 4 .1,2,3,4,5,6.... 15 ,16 read the whole chapter

    2 Timothy 3 . 16

This verse is vital if you are seeking truth . Let the scriptures answer your questions, Ask of God in Jesus his Sons name to help you .

Never take the counsel of men over scriptures.

Also don't rush to conclusions, the Spirit of God goes deep into the things of God that man can not enter into . So meditation and slow thorough thought are needed . It's not like a novel it takes time and effort to hear Gods voice in scriptures.

Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow me , his words are from God and are spiritual .

You can not figure God out , He must reveal himself to you and He does it mainly through the scriptures His word by the Spirit of truth .

I hope this helps you ! It sure has me the word of God is better than fine Gold !
  • Rob - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4
Praying in the spirit is by the Spirit or through the Spirits leading and teaching . But always in the Spirit . We can do nothing apart from the Holy Spirit , he reveals all truth to us . And Who Jesus is and the father is , but He does not seek people to worship or pray too him that I'm aware of , if anyone has a verse to say other I'd like to see it .

are the nephilim still in this world? I have found nothing that tells me they are gone, or where they have gone to.

Nephillim part 1 Who are the Sons of God in Genesis 6 before the flood of Noah?

Sons of God (ANGELS) shout before the world began - Adam man came 6 days later.

Job 38:4 - Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:5 - Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

    Job 38:6 - Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

Job 38:7 - When the morning stars sang together, and all the SONS OF GOD sons of God shouted for joy?

How can the sons of God be men since they were shouting for joy when the earth was created?

Adam man did not come till 6 days AFTER the earth was made.

Adam was a Son of God since he created him -

Angels are SONS of God since God created them and was their Father

Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN SON of GOD -

Believers DO NOT become Sons of God till they are born again of the Holy Spirit only in the new testament

So were all the SONS OF GOD of Genesis 6 the men who were ALL righteous?

the DAUGHTERS OF MEN were all women who were ALL wicked and evil?

So all the men were godly and the women were evil ?

Really can we believe this: all the men were godly and the women were evil

then the godly men and wicked women got married and believers and unbelievers had children who were GIANTS

so where are these giants today? Playing for the NBA?

2 Samuel 21:20 - And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

so see any unbelievers running around with 6 fingers and toes?

then the Lord commanded all the they be killed

1 Chron 20:4 - And it came to pass after this, that there arose WAR WAR WAR at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

Nephillim part 3 we the Canaanites / giants like Goliath just evil people like the rest of us?

Zephaniah 2:5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

So please explain, with a wealth of Bible knowledge, why God commanded Israel to exterminate all the Canaanites and the giant Phillistines (Goliath and David)

Deuteronomy 20:17 - But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

    Numbers 21:3 - And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites;

and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.

Why did the Lord not tell Joshua to please send evangelists to tell them the ways of the Lord?

No, instead the Lord commanded they all be killed.

Zechariah 14:21 - Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts:

and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein:

and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

NO QUOTES FROM ENOCH or anything except the Bible

Read again...no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

The view of the sethite Adamite sons of God makes the Lord sound like a homicidal maniac.............

The word demon is not found in the true Word OF God The word DEVIL S was changed to Demon,by man.
  • Rev William F Camp on 1 Timothy 4
If you wish to know the false religions Read 1Timothy 4 If you will read Hebrew you will find ANY church that has a Priest hood ruling over them is a false religion Because God did away with the earthly priesthood and made Jesus Christ our High priest. Any church that has a woman as Pastor,Deacon ect...is a false church
  • Discernment - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4
On the contrary, no. Paul did not said that Bishop Pastor having one wife is a fake church. He is saying that any Bishop or pastor teaches doctrine of forbidding to marry is a doctine of devil. You are misinterpreting 1 Timothy 4:3. Here is the edification. Read 1 Timothy 3 and you will realize the Truth. Bishops who teaches any doctine against marriage, or abstain from marriage is following the doctrine of devil. Besides, God created the marriage for man and woman, and should be receive with thanksgiving, not abstain from God's blessing. Blessings and love, brother.
  • Adam - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4
Do you have a specific verse in mind that states churches with priests are false churches? Do you think there's a difference between a church with positions considered divine prophets vs one that has simply volunteers and staff position titles like pastor, elder, deacon?
  • I believe - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4
Just along the giving or taking of titles from my understanding of Psalms 111:7-10 verse 9 states holy and reverend is his name. Speaking of God . I personally would call no man or woman reverend. The bible teaches that forbidding to marry and abstaining from meats is wrong. I believe the bible .

where is eternal security in this verse?
  • Frank - in Reply on 1 Timothy 4
In 1st Timothy 1:15-17, 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible

Verse#1: Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devil: We are in these time now. Ministers, supposedly, of God do not believe in God. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity: Do not believe in the Virgin’s birth: Do not believe in the 5 Foundamentals that made up the fabric of our ‘faith.

Basically for me I love verse 12 who talks about the qualities that are going to sustain you as a young person in Christ that no matter how anointed you can be but your character and self conduct is what sustain you as a young Christian, and that we are to lead by example by being purely in front of God and people not misleading them.
