  • Angel Lee on 1 Timothy 4 - 3 years ago
are the nephilim still in this world? I have found nothing that tells me they are gone, or where they have gone to.
  • Dayon Martin - In Reply on 1 Timothy 4:3 - 3 years ago
Christianity has never prohibited marriage. Nor has it upheld celibacy as a "holier" approach than married sexuality.
  • I believe - In Reply on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
Just along the giving or taking of titles from my understanding of psalms 111:7-10 verse 9 states holy and reverend is his name. Speaking of God . I personally would call no man or woman reverend. The bible teaches that forbidding to marry and abstaining from meats is wrong. I believe the bible .

God's grace: Don't live without it and be grateful and thankful for it. Faith without works is dead. From being darkness to being Light.
  • Sally on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
Ife is short. We shouldn't be formal. I use to be afraid to buy Holloween candy or get anything at store connected with it. I can pray for it.
  • Discernment - In Reply on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
On the contrary, no. Paul did not said that Bishop Pastor having one wife is a fake church. He is saying that any Bishop or pastor teaches doctrine of forbidding to marry is a doctine of devil. You are misinterpreting 1 Timothy 4:3. Here is the edification. Read 1 Timothy 3 and you will realize the Truth. Bishops who teaches any doctine against marriage, or abstain from marriage is following the doctrine of devil. Besides, God created the marriage for man and woman, and should be receive with thanksgiving, not abstain from God's blessing. Blessings and love, brother.

Do you have a specific verse in mind that states churches with priests are false churches? Do you think there's a difference between a church with positions considered divine prophets vs one that has simply volunteers and staff position titles like pastor, elder, deacon?
  • Rev William F Camp on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
The word demon is not found in the true Word OF God The word DEVIL S was changed to Demon,by man.
  • Rev William F Camp on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
If you wish to know the false religions Read 1Timothy 4 If you will read Hebrew you will find ANY church that has a Priest hood ruling over them is a false religion Because God did away with the earthly priesthood and made Jesus Christ our High priest. Any church that has a woman as Pastor,Deacon ect...is a false church

In 1st Timothy 1:15-17, 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible

  • Vanessa - In Reply on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
Daniel was a vegan as well, you dont condemn anyone for eating the things God has made clean, nor should anyone else. The daily bread should be taken pure "the word" God Bless you
  • Vanessa - In Reply on 1 Timothy 4 - 4 years ago
value Godliness, the gospel is the truth and the way, man can deceive but the word of God is sound, Give thanks on to him for all things for there is nothing made without him , man can deceive his word but his word is light to a pure heart, God loves repentance and the spirit does convicted you to do so, nowhere does the word say you dont have to repent once in Christ just the opposite.

Verse 1 Many have preferred the religious lies that are really demon inspired to the truths found in God's Word.

Verse#1: Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devil: We are in these time now. Ministers, supposedly, of God do not believe in God. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity: Do not believe in the Virgin’s birth: Do not believe in the 5 Foundamentals that made up the fabric of our ‘faith.

Basically for me I love verse 12 who talks about the qualities that are going to sustain you as a young person in Christ that no matter how anointed you can be but your character and self conduct is what sustain you as a young Christian, and that we are to lead by example by being purely in front of God and people not misleading them.
  • Michelle Turner on 1 Timothy 4 - 5 years ago
I asked because I do not eat meat at all, I am not judgmental of those who do. Thank you, Mr. Bruce
  • Truth From the Book on 1 Timothy 4 - 5 years ago
@Michelle: "Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." The catholic church forbids their priests to marry, thus creating all the priests committing sexual sins. Notice the last 3 words. If you know the truth, you can eat meat and get married.

Michelle: Some churches Teach Celibacy and not to Eat Meat on Certain Days or not at All

1 Timothy chapter 4 vs. 3 "Can I get a comment about this particular verse?"
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 6 years ago
"Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" And as we read on through this chapter we read just exactly WHAT those seducing spirits and devils' doctrines are: unrestrained sex, diets, sports and exercise; all for worship of the body! But mention the Lord with one of them and stone silence!
  • Ivan on 1 Timothy 4 - 6 years ago
If we get grounded on the basic doctrines of the Christian faith as listed in Hebrews-6:1-2. We will not be fooled by any false doctrine. Is said that most believers that have been in Church most of their lives, do not know these basic doctrines. Most do not even know this list exists in the Word.

Verse 13~We should all continue to apply ourselves to reading God's Word and striving to understand and apply what we learn.
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 6 years ago
"For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving" While at work, or going shopping, or anything that we have to do around "other people;" it greatly increases our joy in the Lord, as well as our grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ; when we consider that "they" are made in the image of God, and the pinnacle of His creations. Matthew 5:43-48
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 6 years ago
"Speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" What makes us poor in spirit, meek, mournful, hungering and thirsting after righteousness, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers, persecuted for righteousness' sake? Having a tender heart and a good conscience in a world that idolizes defiance and fornication and hardness of heart! The words of the wise are heard in quiet!
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 6 years ago
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" When the disciples asked Jesus, When shall these things be, and what the sign of thy coming and the end of the world? He first answered, "Take heed that no one mislead you, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ." Spurious Christians!
