Dear Daughter of God John1:1-4 - Rev19:13 confirms that Jesus is The Living Word and yes part of The Godhead or The Trinity both meaning 3 in One Spirit but Thy have differant Roles and are confirmed in 1John5:7 and other Scriptures but some modern Translations like the Cults ones have deleted this or changed other Scriptures. God showed me their deception and I now use the KJV Blessings -Anne

Paul being anointed and called by God, suffered for the gospel, what have you done in comparison. Judge not others, lest you are judged by the same measure.

Forgetting the weightier matter is forgetting the purpose why the scriptures are written: good for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works! Hence, the warfare!
  • Jonas on 1 Timothy 1 - 5 years ago
Why are people forgetting the weightier matter of paul's instruction on the Spiritual Warfare? The War according to the prophecy (the sure prophecy).
Is it because God they say Loves all and that salvation is by grace and not of works?
Where will change come in together with the melting of the elements and the love not the World and the ye are not of the world and the gospel of suffering? THINK

"..that you might charge some that they teach NO OTHER DOCTRINE...which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith..." This commandment is especially concerning false teaching brought in by stealth among the assemblies of Believers. We have to match doctrine with the nature and Spirit of God according to ALL His Word; and not be drawn away and deviate from what Christ taught.

"..that you might charge some that they teach NO OTHER DOCTRINE, NEITHER GIVE HEED TO FABLES (myths) and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." A myth is a well-known story which was made up in the past to explain natural events or to justify religious beliefs or social customs. Jesus Christ is the ONLY SAVIOUR, and no one else instead!

Timothy and Titus were the first ordained overseers of the Assemblies in Ephesus and Crete. The Epistles are obviously Guidance for the Overseership, but ought also to be understood as for ALL Disciples. Jesus doesn't command one set of standards for one, and another for another; but as He Himself said; "But I am among you as one that serves;" so, it is the Common Faith that we are to strive for.
  • Eutychus on 1 Timothy 1 - 6 years ago
1st, 2nd Timothy, and Titus are popularly called, "The Pastoral Epistles". They aren't...They are letters to apostolic deputies, given specific tasks in particular churches, then to move on, carrying out Paul's vision. Timothy and Titus both are admonished to ordain elders and deacons in the churches they helped establish. Both were members of what should be called, the "work", of the ministry.

Paul is explaining how the law was brought about in the lives of israelites.it was there to retain and keep the close to God as they were corrupt generation . but before them there was no law and people of that time knew wat was wrong and right as they were descendants of adam and eve who ate the fuit of knowledge. therefore even we do know whats right and wrong ,lets do the right not bcoz by law

Galatians 2:7-8 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter 8 For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles: Paul had a mission from Jesus himself to reach out to Gentiles and Peter to reach out to Jews.
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly on 1 Timothy 1 - 6 years ago
Paul is telling us who he was and not who he is after he got saved.

    1st Timothy 1:[12] And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
[13] Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
  • Ray321 on 1 Timothy 1 - 6 years ago
1 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope. How important is Paul to us in the Bible? The scriptures will tell us how important Paul is to the Gentiles. Paul is our Apostle for today.

Lucy gottlib, very well spoken. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. We are all on this site for a reason, we all love the Lord . We are seeking for answers or just want to express ourselves to others in what we have learned, that is good. We must keep searching God until that day comes. We can only hope that people will find God. God bless you. ....
  • Lucy gottlieb on 1 Timothy 1 - 7 years ago
Steve morrow you know why the law is not made for people of faith? Because the just live by faith. If the spirit of G-D is leading you he will never lead you into sin. That is why I believe a man can walk in perfection. If Jesus said, "be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." It must be possible...consider yourself dead but alive unto the L-RD!!!

To AIM - Jer. 35:19; Eze. 22:30; God is not unreasonable; we can reason with him. Deborah was chosen because there was no man to stand in the gap, but God's preference was for a man. Deborah was a PROPHETESS, like Anna of Luke. In Judges 4:6 Deborah rebukes Barak, the armies leader for not doing God's will. So God told her to go with him - if that was the only way He could get His will done.

To Breeze - THANK-YOU so much for pointing out the scripture on pastors, bishops are to have one wife. I've known women weren't to usurp authority, but hadn't noticed this scripture. It makes it so OBVIOUS!!
Pastors, etc. ".....are to have one WIFE;" not pastors, etc. are to have one HUSBAND. I can't thank you enough for knowing who Jesus is.

I have woman in my church who peach and teach ,to said this all my church is woman ,two men . I think we have to use what GOD give us
  • Silvia on 1 Timothy 1 - 7 years ago
There is no doubt that the womens role as a Christian is different to the mens. There are many references to confirm this in the Bible. Surely Eve was made different to Adam for a reason surely if the roles where the same we would look and be the same? Why is this so diffucult to understand for some women?
  • Aim on 1 Timothy 1 - 7 years ago
God using a woman does not mean she usurps authority over a man. God does have an order and provides a covering for the woman. Deborah was judge over the "sons of Israel." Does not a judge have authority? Does not a judge have authority to render sentencing and did not those who hear go into battle at the word given through Deborah by God? Don't presume to counsel God.

Women are not supposed to preach, and those who misread and disagree are doing so to change the bible to suit their needs, please dont do that here, thats why you have people saying its ok to be a gay Christian, they are changing the bible to suit their personal needs
  • Lilian on 1 Timothy 1 - 8 years ago
Jesus always considered a woman to preach the good news . John 4.7 He even spoke the Samaritan woman on the will and ask a water to drink. Jesus told her He who drinks my living water will never be thirsty. Living water represents God's words that needs to be obeyed. Mary Magdalene was true apostle in Jesus she is a witness to his crucifixion and his resurrection. JESUS choose her to represent
  • Breeze on 1 Timothy 1 - 8 years ago
A woman cannot pastor. One of the biblical requirements for a pastor is to "be the husband of one wife." Also, in 1 Tim. 2:12, a woman is not to be in authority over a man. In Ephesians 5, wives are asked to submit to their husbands. This does not mean that we are not equal to men, but our roles are different and we are created to fulfill different roles than men. Hope this helps.
