  • Confessing Jesus With The Mouth - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 3 years ago
If they had confessed their belief in Jesus to you or others; that's what matters. Read these scriptures and be at peace in your heart about it. We don't hear what people pray in the middle of the night, alone in their bed. So, Believe the best.

    Matthew 10:32

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

    Luke 12:8

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

    Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    1 John 4:15

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

    John 12:42

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

    Romans 14:11

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

    Philippians 2:11

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

    Romans 15:9

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

    John 9:22

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

    1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

May Jesus be your Peace, Mishael
  • Betty Mitchell on 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 3 years ago
If you believed in christ, but never go to repent because of a sudden death( accident), how does God forgive us for sin?
  • Jim - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
Noah didn't have to treed water. He gave him a boat. :)

I am starting to think advertising is the strong deception. "this is not a gambling site. please play responsibly" seen on tv.

meal replacements have at the least 80grams of sugar, but you will not find sugar listed on the label. I know medical professionals have three or four during a busy shift. no wonder they can't move once they get home.

it may not be a strong deception, but it sure must rate somewhere close.
  • Chris - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
Rick, you said, & I quote: "Why would God do what you suggest? He protected His people crossing the Red Sea. He protected Daniel while in the lions' den. Shaderach, Meshach, and Abednigoh "spelling" while IN the furnace. And throughout scripture we see His hand of protection while people go through adversity."

I believe that what most people are missing out on here (or, avoiding), is the difference between God's PROTECTION of His people & God's REMOVAL of His people. There are clear instances of both types of dealings by God with His own. You have correctly suggested examples of God's protection (viz. the Red Sea crossing & the lions' den) & we have examples of God NOT protecting His people from harm, eg. Stephen's execution, the martyrdom of so many, including the apostles of Christ, etc.

How about when God intervenes to remove His people from a situation? True, we all experience adversity in various degrees & we do prove the Lord faithful, but adversity & afflictions come to us (e.g. the present pandemic) because we are sinners living in a sinful world & reaping its unavoidable fruit. But do we see a difference in Scripture when God intervenes, not to keep us during our trials, but to remove us from them? And we see this clearly when God's Action comes upon the world as a result of His great Anger & not the result of living in a corrupt body in a corrupt world.

So when we see God's Wrath turning upon mankind, don't we always see His subsequent removal of those who are His? We can refer to the Flood & Sodom & Gomorrah as examples. Is not the Great Tribulation to come likewise a demonstration of God's Wrath upon a sinful, Christ-rejecting world? Are those who have been purchased by the blood of the Lamb & received propitiation from their sins & brought into the family of God, still subject to God's Anger upon the World? If so, why? Is this the Character of God we read of in His Word? For your thoughts.

I wish I knew the answer to that!

I think the design of the wheels are interesting ie circles intersecting circles!

I imagine some type of craft with the wheels producing some kind of scalar energy!

But who knows! Sure hope I get to see it sometime!!
  • Charles - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
what are the wheels in Ezekiel 1?

    Totally Agree!

Rapture is a fairytail started by the Catholic Church/Jesuit Priest
  • Rick Colombe on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
To L Hennigan and anyone else who embraces this "rapture theory". We are to rightly divide truth from fiction in God's Word. Then you asked for scriptural proof. You just read some of it in 1 Thess. 4: 14,15,16, and 17...!!! No where in His Word does it state anything referring to a "rapture". Why would God do what you suggest? He protected His people crossing the Red Sea. He protected Daniel while in the lions den. Shaderach, Meshach, and Abednigoh "spelling" while IN the furnace. And throughout scripture we see His hand of protection while people go through adversity. What makes you believe God is going to change His plan to fit man's beliefs? Call it a "rapture" if you must, but it will NOT happen until the very end. Christ returns for the harvest at the end. Not pre or mid tribulation.
  • L Hennigan - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
Please provide scriptural proof that the Bride of Christ (The Church) will be raptured (caught up) to forever be with the Lord after the 7 year Tribulation. Thank you!
  • Rick Colombe on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
In reply to T Moore's comment and "rapture" theory. Please look up John Nelson Darby where you'll find the origins of the "rapture hoax". Will we be caught up with Jesus? Yes we will. The dead in Christ will rise first, then those who are alive will follow. This all happens when Christ returns for the final harvest. At the "end". NOT pre trib or mid trib, but at the end. The final trump when Christ returns with a "shout". May God give us eyes that see and ears that hear what He wants, and NOT what we want. Amen.

Kevin, my mistake, I pasted the wrong passage. It's Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
  • Jamie C. on 1 Thessalonians 4:17 - 3 years ago
Kevin, you are thinking of John 7:27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
  • Word 76 on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
Verse 13 is the subject those that are dead, asleep and it goes on to tell us they are returning at the 7th trump with the Lord and no where does it say rapture or retuning. Read Ezekiel 13 and know no one flys to save their soul that is a thought up from preachers own minds that made it up out of their own Devine thoughts, not From God and he hates those that teach it. We who are alive are here through the tribulation and we will be here until the Lord returns at the 7th trump with fire to clean the earth of evil. Satan comes in deception Rev. 12 and stands in Jerusalem claiming to be God return and don't follow him. If someone shows up in peace and prosperity making a 1 world system claiming he is God he's not because The Lord comes with fire and hail stones and lights up the sky and all will know who God is.

LOUIE, thank you for pointing out my misquote...am very sorry for that and I meant to quote 2 Thess 2:7 "...the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he that now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way" which I am sure when the Holy Spirit which is in the Christians is taken out to meet the Lord in clouds, all hell breaks loose on earth tribulation .
  • Louie - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 4 years ago
2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 is the reference I believe you intended to site.
  • Mexxy on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 4 years ago
Connect this chapter vs 16-17 to 1 Thess. 2:7 and surely, when the believers respond to God's trumpet they meet Jesus in the clouds..not on earth and not everyone will hear the trumpet since those dead or alive without Christ still remain to face tribulation. These are my favorite scriptures and so let us comfort one another for the soon coming "caught up" or snatching up into the clouds event
  • Norma on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 4 years ago
What a beautiful passage to comfort us! So longing for the day when I can see Jesus, the Son of the Living God!

"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Wow, just wow! This is what is going to happen to The Church in the Rapture! What an amazing day it will be!

  • I am that Michael Isaac Dale on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 4 years ago
It is not pride as I can do nothing of mine own self: but only what my Holy Father commands. Whether my Father commands it be I am that Michael Isaac Dale, or I AM THAT I AM, it is of my Father. I confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh and am of GOD. He who is of GOD cannot sin. You are he who rebelled against my commandment to repent, confessing not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
