We must constantly stay on guard against the Devil and his traps that he tries to use. We need to pray constantly, read the Bible everyday, and apply what it says so that we can be successful in our escaping the Devil's snares.

Readig this chapter, This I have read many of time, but whe you are dealing with relationship whether man and women, it also refers to the releasing of evildoers, Nowing ,Jesus suffered more enemies than I do, still I have to seek the comfort that God, instilled in Jesus. Let God take care of those thats against us. Stop holding on to bitterness, release it so God can work on you to exhauste these

We are living in a world where all things seems to be difficult; and surviving the trials of this present times also seems to be overwhelmingly difficult.Vs 10 of this passage is encouraging us who are called by God to be faithful and trustful still believing that after going through this earthly tribulations for a while,God will perfect our faith in him, establish, strengthen and finally settle us
  • Olayinka on 1 Peter 5 - 7 years ago
Faith is key to overcoming the devil. We cannot afford to allow our faith to fail. One way to sustain our faith and have victory is to recall testimonies of what God did for us and others. David use it to overcome Goliath. Our testimony of the ability of our God is a weapon that cannot fail. Shalom!

  • JIC on 1 Peter 5 - 8 years ago
Being strong willed, God has been longsuffering - still have a long ways to go! Thank God that God's righteousness for us is a gift through the abundance of Grace! Romans 5:17 KJV For if by one man's offence death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. God is working with us to Sanctify us and He will finish that work until the day of Jesus Christ! Philippians 1:6 KJV Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: What really helps is to take Romans 12:1-2 seriously everyday and to take on the challenge of letting the Holy Spirit, tempered with Scripture and Prayer, guide you every moment of every day. One may never reach that standard, but God knows your willingness and your heart and that is what Matters to Him most!

Thanks to Jesus for the blood that shed for us. He have come to give us life. Our God is a promising God and a loving Father to us all. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our job now is to trust him and obey his words and commandments until rapture. We must live like Jesus and follow Jesus if we want to have an everlasting life. God is good all the time and his loves endures forever. Keep Praising God and thanks him for what he have done into our lives. There is no other Jehovah its only Jesus our Savior, Provider and our Peace. God loves us ...Amen

verses 5 and 6 of this chapter can be seen as key to understanding why God will love to walk with you as his child. we have simply been made to understand that humility is a major key to serving God. therefore be clothed with humility and let no arrogance and pride be found in you. he also said we should submit ourselves under the mighty hand of God so that he may exault us in deu time. I think it is high time we submit ourselves unto God and be humble in all our ways.
  • Mine' on 1 Peter 5 - 8 years ago
All the chapters that I have read tell of a Wonderful God who reaches out to people everyday. Who loves His people. My thought is to reach out to him too. I don't know how, but with the heart and obedience to His word. He has been there with me through the hardest times and even when I didn't know it. Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. I am grateful for all those,my brothers and sisters, whom Jesus has sent for me, to show me the way. Those who have been an example to me. Those who have shared in the sufferings of Jesus for my sake. God is everything that He says He is. Thank You God the Father of our Lord Jesus for all You have done.

Points taken and agreed with. We have to be focus, be on guard, be in-tuned with the will of God through His words and be spiritually prepared for any attack of the adversary. God bless us all as we continue to walk in His light.
  • Butch on 1 Peter 5:8 - 8 years ago
Sometimes if we are not careful, we get drunk on the cares of this life, we get caught up, tied up, tangled, and we neglect to seek The Lord, and watch for his second coming.
  • Norm on 1 Peter 5 - 8 years ago
Thank You LORD for sending us Your Spirit and opening our eyes: The devil is now here in flesh as the antichrist and as the lion. That devil is just getting started first by destroying DAMASCUS SYRIA which is the city and country he presides over. See Isaiah 17:1. That antichrist terrifies all the middle east and EVERY WORLD LEADER as documented in Job 41:25. May You rebuke him LORD according to Your will. O LORD deliver us from his terror while You pour out Your wrath. I pray that You forgive us of all our sins according to Your will and all for Your glory. Thank You JESUS! In Your name we pray. Amen

Praise God our Father and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has brought us out of darkness and translatex uz into the kingdom of his dear son. I have been so dull of hearing the voice of God due to my wayward attitude for some years now. But today as i was thinking on my work situation the Holy Spirit spoke a scarcely remembered verse into my heart. As i looked it up it was here in 1Pet5. It spoke to me so clearly.I will humble myself, do as i am asked, however unreasonable. In due season my God will show himself strong on my behalf....HALLELUJAH !
