Sometimes it's harder for us to give the smaller things to God that it is the larger things. Larger as knowing that we are a child of God and one day we will spend eternity in his presence. Smaller being the things on this earth, they may seem big to us but they are small compared to our salvation. I pray God's confidence in you have your Christianity, I pray God's strength and knowledge and you for what is going on in your life in the world today and what will go on tomorrow. I pray God's peace for you as you trust in him for all your needs. I pray God's peace in your child and what's going on in the world and all the chaos. Stay in gods word and he will lead the way and give you peace. God bless.

Dear Kay, just to tell you I'm praying for you, that you will know Gods presence and His peace at this time. Our sins, praise Him, have been paid for on the cross of Calvary. We are covered by His precious blood. He is our righteousness! So wonderful! God bless you and your daughter and family. With Christian love, Phyllis xo

    Acts 14:22

[22]strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God."
  • Gloria Ramos - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
you are being attacked because your trying to do the Lords work. You pressing on no matter what anyone says. It is through those trials that Jesus makes us stronger. Have faith in God not man. Read the word of God and through that word you will find your strength. Ask God to speak to you through his words and not your own. Every time you read ask God to use that word to reach others through you for we are his hands and feet here on earth. Think not of what ye shall speak in that time and hour for it us i who shall speak through you. Its God's word, look for it. It may not be worded ( what i write) like it is in the Bible but it has always spoken to me and i stand on that word because I know many a time I have been talking to someone and God words just come flowing out. Tell God to make you an instrument of his glory. Dont faint, but look to God whom is your strength. Not man!

Read Job. the more you fear the more you allow Satan to play. do not be anxious. satan has no power against our God, he will protect you, but if you give in to fear, you are giving satan permission to enter your life.

Stay positive, the devil is a liar, kick him to the curb in the name of Jesus
  • Adam - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
    Dear Kay,

May God bless you. Hang in there.

Let God's truth give you hope. Put on the armor of God, resist satan, and think of the positive things.

    Ephesians 6:10 - 6:18

    James 4:7

    Philippians 4:8

Many things are spiritual warfare, but I don't believe all things are. For example, job problems or worry about a virus. In some states the virus is less severe than a normal flu season. Around 7,500 die in the US every day and 10,000 are born, so when the media ignores the top risks and only talks about the lower risks and stirs everyone into a panic it does everyone a disservice, so I would not trust them. Trust God.

    God bless!
  • Prayer for Salvation - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
A prayer you can pray and know it's the right one.

Lord Jesus, for too long I've kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen.

I lift my arms Lord and pray to receive the Holy Spirit into my life. I promise to read the Bible every day from today, forward.

Now is when we tell someone close to us that we are born again by Jesus.

    What a beautiful prayer...
  • Prayer to Return To Your First Love on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
It means return to your first love when you First met Jesus. The scripture is in Revelation.

Just compare your life today to those first days when you asked Jesus to come in your heart. You read your Bible. You asked the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you have read. He's your Teacher, and the Spirit of Jesus; your Comforter; your Convictor when you make mistakes, your Helper. He's here for you.

Just pray this prayer to return to your first Love:

Lord, after what I've read today, I don't want to allow any spirit of compromise in my life! I now understand that the doctrine of the Nicolaitans is compromise with the world. Lord, I don't want to live with one foot in the church and another foot in the world. I want to break free completely from the world and its influence so I can give myself completely to Your cause! I want to be holy, to live in a way that pleases You, and to experience Your power in my life. Today I am renewing my commitment to You all over again! I turn from the world, and I am running to You!

I pray this in Jesus' name!

Sandra, your Grandson May be demon oppressed or, possessed. Specifically by a spirit of death, a lying demon, suicide; an unclean spirit. He has opened himself to their entrance by his lifestyle. Has anyone else in your family tree had this same thing?

I would like you to go on YouTube, type in 'Derek Prince on demon possession' in the search mode. You need to be informed before you go further to help him.

I hope you are in a church that ministers in this way. You're going need your Pastors help and maybe pastors wife or a deacon.

First I want you to get some knowledge in you before you go further. Don't be afraid. I'll contact you again soon.

I have what I believe to be a provision for me , a laymen spoke of a miracle healing , and the person used Oil of Oregano.

I decided after hearing of it to try some maybe it will work for something else was my thought . 15 or so years later it has worked for everything I have needed . And also the Covid 19 and any other virus. By experience I'm speaking . I use even large doses and it works better for any pain or illness , works great for my allergies. I can keep my dog , now 8 years with it or it would have to go ! :) This is my experience, it has worked for others but , a good quality oil is needed , and wisdom on how to use it for your self . I could write a book on this God made herb , found in the bible , known as Hyssop, the same thing !
  • Mishael on Marriage Divorce Rapture on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
People need to DATE at least a year before even thinking about Joining lives. Marriages fail because you don't know anything about each other. A baby will NOT repair a limping marriage. The child will suffer a lifetime.

I wish just once Dr Phil (who is a Christian) would teach Bible perspective on dating, deciding whether or not to marry, saving a pile of money for the wedding so you don't have go into a black hole to pay for it. Be compatible intimately without sex.

The Bible teaches about being UNEQUALLY YOKED. You can't pull a wagon if ones a horse and the other is a "different animal" like a camel.

God performed the first marriage with Adam and Eve. I think He meant us to enter into it seriously without escape options. 1 Corinthians chapter 7 is the best place to get pre-marriage counseling.

Look what Jesus, the Bridegroom; has gone through for His Bride.

Mentioning the Rapture (Caught Up), Jesus is NOT going to suffer His Bride to wait for Mid or Post Tribulation!!! Use a little common sense. What is Jesus Like?! He went through all the Hard Stuff so His Bride doesn't have to. There is no male, female gender involved here.

If we are truly BORN AGAIN, there is nothing to be afraid of. Be full of the Holy Spirit and be WATCHING for Jesus! How hard is that ?!? He's coming from heaven to MEET us in the CLOUDS!

God is fond of clouds. Read Job again and underline all the cloud scriptures. Almost every day almost, He gives us unique, always different sunsets. How often do you look at them? Do you see a rainbow and just think..hmmm or wow!
  • Jack on 1 Peter 2 - 3 years ago
At this time God has given me hope and passion. I wish you all that God is doing the same. And as our Lord God said

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
  • Chris H - In Reply on 1 Peter 2:1 - 3 years ago
In reply to Eliot on I Peter 2:1. To trust in the Lord is to have faith in Him and His ability to feed you, faith is good, as it is faith alone that saves. But please do not think that God expects you to sit around and do nothing and wait for Him to put food on your plate, as faith is only evidenced by works; works which you have done in planting the garden by which He will feed you.

To do otherwise is presumption, and presumption is the devils counterfeit for faith, notice the devils temptation of Jesus in the wilderness.

"Then the devil taketh Him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto Him, If Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down: for it is written, "He shall give His angels charge concerning Thee: And in their hands they shall bear Thee up, Lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone."

The devil tempted the Lord to show His faith by casting Himself to the ground from the top of the temple, but to do so would have been presumption, even though the Scriptures declares that the Father would have prevented Him from "dashing his foot against a stone."

It is not possible that we should entertain the idea that Jesus was lacking in faith; Jesus declared to Satan, "It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."

Jesus refused to go outside the path of obedience, and He would not force Providence to come to His rescue.

By your planting the garden to provide for your needs as well as for those of your children, you have shown perfect trust in the Lord, for it is now that He can work in giving the increase, and providing the food for your needs.

Eliot, you've raised a lot of issues here. In essence, I see you judging yourself too harshly. Maybe, you're a little like me - being too introspective & harsh on oneself. You've given some great truths there but it may be a lack of understanding, your prayer life & walking each day in the power & joy of the Spirit, that keeps you in a place of frustration, confusion & self deprecation. And of course, our Enemy, Satan, is always prowling about us ( 1 Pet 5:8) to bring us to sin, particularly in areas of weakness. If we are aware of our weaknesses & failings but also aware of the One Who loves us & guards us, we are better equipped to deal with whatever hits us between the eyes. Your setting up a fruit/veg garden for the future of your kids is a wonderful idea & not a lack of trust in God. God gives us a myriad of bodily faculties & brain power. He gives us doctors, lawyers, govt. services to avail of. If anything is contrary to His Mind, then we have a reason to shun it & let Him speak.
  • Eliot on 1 Peter 2:1 - 4 years ago
The more I try to be good it seams like just one more huddle is added. I thought I was doing good to set up a garden so my children,( during really hard times ), would have a place to come to and eat out of it. But then I learned what the word guile meant. Instead of trusting God to feed them or choose not to for the life style they live ,I took it upon my own craftiness to do it. Im a true believer but worry that my knowledge God , gave or allowed me to see , coupled with my shortcomings might put me in a bad place.

God made it clear that it's worse for those who know the truths but end up sinning. No one is free of sin, but the Apostles say you must be like Jesus. This is confusing to me. Sometimes I get mad ,feel that Before I believed , the god of this world ,(satan), had me learn evil. Now it's second nature to spout out sly remarks at the evening news. Or get upset at people. And there is that ever lasting lust for the opposite sex. I don't act on it , I'm been single 22 Y.

There is a great phone app called Logos Bible that is a free download. It has several books and bibles in the library. And also has a Spanish bible. Other free bible apps I have found to be good are the Blue Letter Bible, Bible Hub, and Tecarta Bible.

    Hope this helps!

John, thanks for your encouraging comments. It's wonderful that you & the Fellowship are still able to meet is some form & enjoy this new experience, albeit somewhat limiting. I think of the early Church as they too met as a small group & generally hidden as their persecutors hunted for their blood. I guess, this virus is a type, both seeking out destruction & death, but for the believer our confidence & hope is ever centred on the Lord of Glory. The Lord bless you & the Church family there in Milwaukee.

Chris, we here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are not gathering together at our church building. We are meeting in small intimate groups at our homes. We also use Zoom and Duo to "see" each other in a greater number. Even these little things are good for us to keep encouraging and edifying each other with the word of God. Reminding each other that we are sinners saved by grace only. We realize that we can do nothing to save ourselves other than believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. John 3:14-21. Ephesians 2:8-9. John 5:24. Cheers!
  • Chris - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 4 years ago
I have to agree with Fred. While it is a demonstration of our love for the Lord & His Word & of faith that God will protect us during this time of infection, we have to ask, how does the world view our gathering together Is it one of a testimony of great faith or one of: 'these Christians are behaving recklessly & compromising the health of our community'. You are fortunate that the govt. still allows your Churches to have their doors open; we can't meet in Australia. But we do need to abide by the laws of the land, particularly now, but if those laws (& they are coming), prohibit Christians from meeting at all or in any way practising their faith & witness, then the Lord's Law overrules.
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 4 years ago
God requires to use common sense .The last thing the church needs is to be accused of martyrdom.Or irresponsibility toward our fellow man. Is it not bad enough that the war we wage is against spiritual sin and death and our own salvation. Anyone gathering together during this time of uncertainty is clearly wrong. Satan is the great deceiver, even deceiving the very elect. Proverbs 3;6 In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy ways.
  • Chris on 1 Peter 2 - 4 years ago
This of course, is a difficult call. On the one hand, as you say, we demonstrate our love to God and faith in the right outcome. On the other hand, unbelievers seeing you gathering together for worship, will consider you irresponsible and dangerous for meeting in this way. It would be the Church's determination keeping this in mind. However, if the laws of the land prohibit believers from meeting at all or in practising their faith for no other reason than the spirit of anti-christ being at work, then we should by means fulfil the God's Holy requirement on us and stand up to evil and face the consequences. Sadly, the Bible tells us that there will be a great falling away as a result.
  • Cheryl L Calvert on 1 Peter 2 - 4 years ago
This scripture is comforting to have an example of how I am to behave during this COVID-19 crisis. I will obey the law until the law overrides my call to worship and fellowship with the brethren. We are one of the few churches still meeting, even though there is an exemption for churches, many are choosing to keep their doors closed. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to demonstrate our respect for our governors but more importantly our God. He is after all the author and finisher of our faith. He is the one the world needs to see through our testimony. There are several stories throughout the WORD that shows believers being obedient until man's law undermines God's law. God Rules.
  • Love Covers a Mutitude of Sins - In Reply on 1 Peter 2 - 4 years ago
Kyle I have a lot of Compassion like Adam for you and will Pray too. When I was young I was Raped it left painful wounds for years but Jesus Healed me and Helped me to Forgave I still have the memory but not the pain. For a long time I felt guilty, I had been walking in Sin when it happened but after Confessing and being Forgiven and Forgiving I had Peace and now every time Satan trys to Condem me I Remember when we Confess our Sins we are Forgiven and that when we Follow Jesus we will be Persecuted. Satan doesnt worry about those who dont Walk with Jesus or dont Care about others only those who show Jesus Love in Words and Actions this really bugs him he didnt Win. Matthew 25:31-40.
