Verse 23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

I would have to ***ume the word of God, also, means every verse in the Bible pertaining to born again salvation. All these verses would have to agree with one another, because ALL scripture is inspired of God. Therefore, ALL scripture DOES agree with one another. In other words John 3:5, Romans 10:9-10 Acts 2:38, and the rest, MUST ALL give us the same STANDARD information, pertaining to salvation or the born again experience. Unfortunately, mainstream Christianity "VERSION" of salvation is drastically different---from the version found in Acts 2:38.
scriptural reasoning--SCREAMS--THAT ALL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO SALVATION MUST absolutely be THE SAME.--IN ORDER THERE IS NO confusion>

What an amazing chapter of scripture! Verse 25 tells us that the Word of lord endureth forever! Two things of this world are eternal, the Word or God and your soul!!

  • Darrion on 1 Peter 1:15
All of those who call themselves children of God and think that its okay to use profanity and other unclean words and do unclean things need to read this scripture every day.... There is a standard in place we must live up to God's Standards if we want to get into Heaven
  • Roberta on 1 Peter 1
Thank you George. Your comments hit it right on in my life. Health issues, finances, family members. Yet, I praise Him also. He gives me strength everyday. I love this chapter. Thank you Jesus for giving us what we need when we need it.
  • George on 1 Peter 1
    Verse six really speaks to me personally, though now for a season if need be ye are in heaviness through manifold temptation. At times we are in heaviness through many tmeptations and things in our lives that drag us down but it also says wherein ye do greatly rejoice. At times we feel like we are in such heaviness burdened down with things in this life and it seems we cant get out from under it or we don't even want to rejoice but somehow we do with the help of God anyway. Health problems with us or family members, our children going the wrong way or not saved, more problems we worry coming our way and yet the Lord Jesus can give us grace to help in time of need and wants us to trust in him through it all. And so we can start to praise him again in his grace and mercy toward us. Sincerely ;

1 Peter is so inspiring. People need to read 1 Peter. If you don't understand, you should read until you understand what the verse means. We also need to keep our faith that’s where our salvation comes in and our strength.
  • Amanda on 1 Peter 1
Blessed be the name of the Lord. Verse 24 reminds us who we really are, at times, like Nebuchadnezzar, we throw ourselves in God face with our pomp and pride, but ALL flesh is as grass! In spite of our nothingness, God gave his only Son as a ransom for our sins and made us heirs of God and of salvation. Oh what love, what wondrous love God has for the sons of men! Blessed be the name of the Lord.
  • Nice cj on 1 Peter 1:16
The word of GOD is one and nothing on this earth ca ever change it. Be ye holy, for I am holy.
  • Cynthia dancy-perkins on 1 Peter 1
I’m so inspired by 1 Peter 1 that I can't stop reading it, Peter really hits the nail on the head. So glad the holy spirit leads me to go back and read (or should I say) eat it again. God knows what we need and when we need it the most.
  • Pcpc on 1 Peter 1
How is the gospel of Peter in the original King James Version if discovered in the monks’ grave in 1886?
  • Pecho Carol on 1 Peter 1
The word of God is all that we require, in fact it is more than a basic need, the word of God is God himself, it is life and the only Qualification to everything we ever needed in life. READ THE WORD AND LEAD THE WORLD. 1 Peter 1:24-25
  • Lawis on 1 Peter 1
This letter, that Peter wrote, and him being a total devotee of Christ and one of those disciples that had first hand face to face encounters with the LORD, has inherent truths upon truth and revelations upon revelations,in it, that are meant to draw believers, nearer and nearer to God.

Interestingly, in some instances, Peter could not get away from what Jesus has- he would say 'where else shall we go- for you have the words of eternal life'.

In fact it was him that said that 'we have left all to follow you and what shall get from this'- and then came the response From Jesus, that refers to the hundred fold return.

As amatter of fact it was the same Peter that did percieved and discerned that Jesus Chrsit is the Son of God or the Christ of God, in the midst of the others. And hence, God had to use him to write this letter, because he had personal and what may refered to as first hand experience with Jesus- and also a witness about what Jesus did and also about His death burial, ressurection and ascension

As a matter of fact, when the great commision was given, he was there with the other desciples- hence this, I Peter 1, as the opening chapter, carries so much weight and it reminds us that we as christians belongs to incorruptibility and thus we are joint heisr with the LORD.

It is really a very helpful and also a useful letter, written from a heart of love, meant to stir up and admonish Saints no matter where they are, to stick with the LORD, for there is no other that can save or deliver like Him.

He is really - and truly forever trustworthy. His name is holy!
  • Frenz on 1 Peter 1
His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

These words respond to those who accept the process of salvation through circumscision and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, as the Bible says! It is the Gospel of Christ..DEATH•BURIAL•RESURRECTION. Meaning you must DIE from your sins thru repentance. BURIAL you must be buried in baptism to his death ( Rom 6:3-4) RESURRECTION-Recieving the promise of the Holy Ghost, as the scripture says in ( John 3:5) ecept a man be born of watwer and of spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. This is the GRACE that every man MUST ACKNOWLEDGE. And if you make an action for this then THERE WILL BE A LIVELY HOPE FOR YOU by the resurrection of Jesus Christ because it is God who planned this God was manifest in the flesh in the person of Jesus Christ as the body of God by the power of the Holy Ghost( 1 Timothy 3:16)
That is why the Inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that does not fadeth away reserved in heaven for you. This is the provision of God if you will ovey what is written in the book Bible
Already reserve in heaven and it is already kept in God's hand by his power. do you agree what the Bible tells?
  • Jeannine on 1 Peter 1
In this Chapter, we have learned that when we are born again, we have an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for us. Our God is Sovereign and Holy. We have been redeemed by Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ and we will live life Everlasting! Go out and share the good news!
  • Brian on 1 Peter 1:1
Doesn't matter what I think of 1 Peter1:1 OR ANY PART OF THE BIBLE. I JUST BELIEVE IT MEANS EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS.
  • Robert Tucker on 1 Peter 1
Does the revelation in v.13; mean at the second advent, or, is it applicable now as well as then? I believe both! Paul prayed in Ephesians,1:17, for the Church to receive a ''revelation in the knowledge of Him!''
  • Whitney on 1 Peter 1:5
I have answer the call of God, you shall be safe in your home as you are!

It is imperative that we give testimony of God's love and unchanging hand in Jesus' name...God loves us beyond measure. HE is faithful and I put my trust in Jesus,my Lord and Savior. We must share our personal relationship with Jesus not our religion. Basic instructions before leaving this earth is about relationships and love.
  • Edward Fenuku on 1 Peter 1
In this chapter, we have been admonished to live in holiness, just as our Father God. It is also important for believes to spread the good news about the faithfulness of God.
