There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out fear. This is because fear punishes and defrauds us but love rewards us with blessings. There is no reason to fear in demonstrating perfect love because he that loves abides in God and has God's backing/defense. Demonstrating perfect love (i.e. loving one another) is an act of obedience to God's commandment and whoever obeys or hearkens to God's voice shall dwell in safety, no evil shall befall him.
My preacher, even though I�m hundreds of miles from him, brought me to tears with this verse, as it hits home hard. So amazing that a Facebook message with this verse helped me so much.

We have been favoured, rather we have been love thats what this passage is saying, God made an initiative to love us and thus He sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Love that God has for us led Him to sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Because of His love He gave Jesus Christ. The propitiation in the Jesus Christ did not awaken love in the Father for us, but because of this Love Christ was sent for us. What love! Father thank you!

The LORD Jesus has changed me forever , and the joy He brings, is insurmountable , I thank you precious Holy LORD , for the wonderful truth and loving-kindness ,mercy ,grace and peace you have brought into our lives.
To become a child of God we need to except that Jesus took on a body like unto ous, but without Sin; then to except Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we need to except that he came from God the Father, that He was taken by those whom he cane to save and was crucified upon a Roman Cross; giving his life and shedding his precious Blood; He surendering his spirit into the hands of his Father and on the third day rising from the grave victorious, then assending into glory to his father.
To be one of His we have to except Jesus as our own personal Saviour, Repenting of our sins at which time the Holey Spirit comes and makes His abode with us. It is inportant to understand that there can only be one spirit that can dwell in us once we except him; Jesus said I will send my spirit and he will abide with you always, and will never leave you (John 3v16)"For God so loved the World, that he gave His only beggen Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting Life". When we except him, we have our burdens and sins cancled (forgiven) out and we start with a clean slate. It is then upto us to grow in Knowledge by reading his Holey Word and confess our sins, cleansing our mind and soal when we enter into Prayer and ask for forgiveness for our sins. This can be once a day or 100 times a day he is always listening, and we do this through praying to our Heavinly Father through Jesus Christ the only mediaror between God and Man. We only remove the bad (sin) not the good; The good 'LOVE' is ours to share with the Holey Spirit and our Lord Jesus Christ, and also our christian friends. God loves the sols of Men and Women, but he Hates Sin.

I would say that this is a state of mind that none save christ himself was able to achieve consistently his whole life. Perfect love is available in knowing and talking with god daily. He will guide you and help cast out the fear. God is perfect love
John in this letter is warning us to test the spirit, and beware of false teachers. Anyone who does not believe the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, is of the anti-christ. The Spirit of God that is in every believer is greater than the false spirit in the world. ITim 2:15 tells us to rightly devide the word of truth. The Holy Spirit guides us in all truth. He takes the things of Christ, and makes them known unto us. When you have been born again, the Spirit of God comes into your heart, and bares witness with your spirit that you are a child of God. Therefore you will know the truth from error. Keep studying the word of God, and pray to the Holy Spirit to take the word of God to your heart so you can understand it.
Clearing your mind is NOT something you would want to do. When you clear your mind, you get rid of everything in it. Your mind can't stay like that for long, you eventually fill it again, and it might be filled with the wrong things. Demons, for instance have easy access to people who clear their minds.

So, just read, read, read. It is the same as to EAT spiritual meat, and drink spiritual drink. It's not about just merely memorizing the scriputures, no more than is eatting for physical nourishment about memorizing how physical food tastes.
And, daily repent of; confess, your sins unto the Lord, or if you can't think of any, ask Him to forgive you for just in case. As, to repent is a priviledge for those that have received Christ. No one CAN repent in the way of true repentance without FIRST receiving Christ. That is WHY there's no need to repent IN ORDER to answer His call, and receive Him:
Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

@Rosie be at peace within thyself, and know that each and everyday is of perfect Love. Clear your mind and keep it still, think only of the Love of God and this will release all the fear. Fear is nothing but the darkness trying to fool you into doubt. It feeds on your fear, Love is much stronger than darkness. So as long as you focus on Love in your heart and mind, then this dakess has no place to live. Look at how many times in these scriptures it says, that as long as you believe in Jesus, you will be protected from darkness. During these times on Earth, within the next few years this darkness is on the way out, it will be more intense to live. Know and Love God and you will be protected through all the havoc this world will see in the next few years.
We belong to GOD not OURSELVES, so come as a child ready to be transformed into the likeness of Christ. God/Christ OVERCAME the WORLD and if you accept Jesus as ur Lord and Savior u can too OVERCOME the WORLD.
