    Hello, 1John 2:26-27 says,

"These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all thing, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it as taught you, you will abide in Him."

Daniel, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then you already have this anointing, because the Holy Spirit is the anointing, and He lives within each believer from the time He regenerates a person at conversion.

The Spirit will always lead you into what is truthful. He will never lie to you or lead you into what is false. The tricky part truly is discerning whether your personal "education" about God's truth is definitely from the Spirit of Truth, or from your one reasoning, or from another believer sharing their "learning" with you. Discernment is really a great thing to pray to receive from the Holy Spirit, as He definitely wants to give this good gift to those who desire it and ask for it in prayer.

Daniel Confess with your mouth and believe with your heart Romans 10:9+10. Then you become

spiritually a son of God by rebirth spiritually that is the anointing of Holy spirit. That is the anointing spoken of.
  • Daniel McCabe on 1 John 2
How do I receive the anointing spoken of in john 227?

Hi Sheila. I found a comment from a Sheila Middleton that appears similar to what you are seeking. And it appears that only one person (Chuck) responded to you, but he placed his response on a new thread, so you might not have seen it.

If you want to find that comment of yours, click on 'Discussions' on the top Menu on KJBO's Main Page & that will open to all our discussions. Then you'll see a Tab "Discussions by Book/Chapter'. Click on Matthew chapter 7. Scroll down the various comments until you see the comment you made. However, I don't know whether that is actually the one you're thinking of or if there was another comment by you.
  • Sheila on 1 John 2
Where do you find the most recent comments I wrote a comment a few weeks ago. I was talking about being baptized in water. But first you have to believe Jesus is the son of God.

Paul is saying in 1John 2:8 that the things which were prophesied from the beginning about Jesus Christ the Messiah is now been revealed and fulfill in him. Daniel 12:4 But thou O Daniel shut up the words and seal the book even to the time of the end many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased.
  • Bob on 1 John 2
    It's says in 1 John chapter 2 V 23

Who ever denieth the Son , the same hath not the father ; but he that acknowledges the Son hath the father also .

Antichrists deny this v 22 and there are many of them in the last time .

It's really simple Jesus is the Son of God . Or he is something more or less than the Son of God .

If I said that your son is not who he claims to be even after you confirm it to be so . I would be a denier.

There is not even a whiff of a trinity here so that doctrine is irrelevant.

That is a very sad situation for both yourself & your husband. This is what we refer to as "having one foot in God & the other in the world". It seems there is a God-consciousness with him, yet he doesn't want to leave off the attractions that the world gives him. "Man cannot serve two masters": if he loves the world & what it offers him, then his love for God is not real - and that is called hypocrisy. 1 John 2:15, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

He needs spiritual counselling - there is always hope he may give attention to what another unbiased qualified person advises him, rather than from his wife. He probably needs to receive Christ's salvation that will make him new from the inside rather than subscribing to a phoney belief that his knowledge about God is all he needs. This is a very delicate situation which will see you both needing help & guidance, not only in spiritual matters but also in your marriage.

You can always pray for God's Work to be done in his life. Is he in a position to spend some devotional time, i.e. both of you together, with God? Reading from the Bible (which he says he believes in) & from a devotional book & also to spend a little time to pray about your lives, your family, your hopes & dreams, will be useful to resetting your lives & minds towards the things of the Lord. However, if he is resistant to these things, you can only but commit him & your marriage to the Lord in personal prayer & not frustrate or antagonize your husband further. Your faithfulness & love to him in spite of his view of you, your love & trust in the Lord to help your marriage, will also speak to his heart as he witnesses these things. May the Lord help you especially at this time Leasa.

There's a Link, that says Become A BELIEVER. It's the most complete guide on how to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.

It's all scriptural. Just say a little Prayer and ask, "Holy Spirit please help me to understand, memorize what you say, so I can share this with someone else. Amen.

  • Rob - in Reply on 1 John 2
Jesus was born of God !

    Does that help you ?

Let's get over this false doctrine. Of the trinity!

Why was Jesus born in Bethlehem? Think about it !

He did not have a mans flesh !

Can you put 2and 2 together?
  • Erichburg on 1 John 2
In Bible days, men wore robes or gowns. When they fought or ran, they had to gird up their loins ( 2 Kings 4:29, 9:1; and 1 Peter 1:13). This was done by tucking their robes into their girdles, or what we would call belts, Therefore, Paul was saying that truth is the belt that allows us to fight without being entangled in our garments. Those who do not surround themselves with truth will become entangled in their own webs of deceit and will fall.

Please remember that we can always stand on God's Word because it is the truth ( John 17:17) and never forget that Jesus will always be: the Way, the Truth, and the Life. ( John 14:6)
  • Alex on 1 John 2
Comments by Alex about the Trinity which is the Kingdom of God . Isaiah describes the Davidic Kingdom as Jesse ,David and Solomon n chapter 11 But jesse david and solomon had long been dead bout 300 yrs when Isaiah penned those words but Isaiah was still using these 3 men as symbolic language for a kingdom coming in the last days When the MANCHILD that will rule al nations, a lil child is gona lead them, A Father, Son and GRANSON type Kingdom,God Almighty his son Jesus and the H.G. which answers to Solomon which means Comforter the H.G. Which is the Granson that is gona result in an Israel of God. The Children of Promise that is gonna result from his seed etc the WORD. You folks that gag at 3 are gonna have to swollow millions ,God Almighty swore by his very self that Christ was gonna be multiplied as the stars of heaven, millions and Jesus interprets this as TO WHOM THE WORD CAME ( HIS SEED ) IT MADE THEM GODS AND THE SCRIPTURES CANNOT BE BROKEN, REMEMBER GOD SWORE BY HIMSELF . I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven . Thus you folks that gag at 3 are gonna be sick when ya understand that Christ is gonna be multiplied as the stars of heaven and this is how Jesus interprets that scripture " to whom the word came it made them Gods and the scriptures cannot be broken" And i have said ye are Gods impling his voice, his WORDS are the very seeds of God. Thats y Jesus is saying that which is born of the SPIRIT IS SPIRIT WHICH IS THE VERY MULTIPLCATION OF GOD IN HUMANITY VIA HIS SEED . So go back to the kingdom hall and tell them the good news. Thats y the new birth is so important we are all gonna birth a baby CHRIST the son of man, which is mankinds fruit unto God from that good seed the word,The words of the book th new covenant that is gona initiate a birth thus the woman with Child which is US SINNERS. Thats y JESUS refers to the H.G. as the Promise he is the multiplication of God humanity as God so loved the world. The parable of the sower is his love for us.

Another precious verse you've given, Bendito, proving the eternal existence of Jesus, the Word, Who shared in the Glory of God.
  • Rob on 1 John 2
Gods people are of the light , we are not in the darkness wondering what is next to happen , like the coming of the Lord we see it coming , and read and understand the Bible like Matthew 24 and Luke 21 and Book of Daniel , revelation etc . It's no mystery to know the season , but the day and hour only the father knows . We are not even close to the Lords coming yet , but it could be this generation as well . A generation is 120 yrs , or less .

We are not appointed to wrath so watch and pray to be ready , even if you die you will be resurrected at that time , let's not be ashamed by our life , but rejoice to see the day while men head for the caves because of their sins.

All this Rapture nonsense is not in the Bible .
  • Bendito Palavra - in Reply on 1 John 2
Such as Jesus said in John 17:5:

"And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."
  • Rob - in Reply on 1 John 2
I was right about you the first time Rich , spare your words and try repentance some time !
  • Richard in Christ - in Reply on 1 John 2
I'm sorry Rob, but this statement seems backwards. So if I spoke a word to you, you would say the word was there before I was?? God Almighty, the Father, is the Most High. Jesus Christ is the first beloved Son of God. They are a part of each other.

So now you're calling people who believe that Jesus Christ existed before He was born on earth a "cult"? Seriously, maybe just ease up and wait to ask Jesus Christ yourself? Come on brother.
  • Servant of God - in Reply on 1 John 2
A good question, many would struggle with it and find themselves in the chicken or the egg situation. The reality God was there always, so the question of 'first' wouldn't be right. God, Jesus the Son, and Holy spirit are all in one. They cannot be separated from each other. There are many verses in the bible say the same. Also, there are only 6 days of creation according to the bible. And no where is it mentioned that Jesus was created!!

God the Father, Jesus the Son and Holy spirit all are outside the realm of time and space. As such it is difficult for many to understand how can something be forever without being created but that is the truth.

They all were present even before the creation.

Other scripture as a fellow brother suggested, was John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Also in John 1.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    Hope this helps.
  • Rob - in Reply on 1 John 2
Many verses trintarians use like Jesus is the word would say the son came first if they really believe those verses saying it is Jesus .

    All backwards
  • Rob - in Reply on 1 John 2
Who comes first the father or the son ?
  • Rob on 1 John 2
    Verse 22 and 23

If you do not believe that Jesus is who God said he is My SON , then if

You make Jesus anyone other than Gods witness you are creating another Jesus , for example GOD the Son or apart of a triune God . That's not the witness of God , Any other than what God said This is my Son is a denial of Gods very witness .

Any Jesus other than the one born in Bethlehem in the flesh and born of God . Is a lie and foreign to the truth . And Antichrist.
  • Bendito Palavra - in Reply on 1 John 2
If you are miserable, that's a good indication the Holy Spirit is working on you:

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. ( James 4:8-10)

In 1 John 2:1, Jesus is our advocate, much like a defense attorney, defending us before the throne of God against the condemnation.

Read Psalm 51 to see that David was in a situation where his sin separated him from God. He could not bear it so he confessed and pleaded with the LORD to restore the joy of his salvation.

The prodigal son in Luke 15 deliberately departed from the way until his abject misery brought him to his senses. He was then welcomed back heartily by his loving father.

Satan the accuser would celebrate your being so overcome with despair that you become swallowed up in it and give it up.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ( 1 John 1:9)

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. ( John 6:37)
