Man most does not like being corrected at any time. But that is what our Heavenly Father does because love us that much.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
There is lots of teachers, pastors and preachers that preach the Word of God. We say to ourselves, who are we going to trust. Apostle Paul said, trust him. 15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
Ray; Paul didn't want anyone to think he was an angel; but he was commending the eager and reverent reception he received from the Corinthians, because of the Word he was bringing to them. The wisdom that God gave to Paul, He is willing to give to you too; and the way all the Prophets and Apostles knew the Lord, and wrote of Him; He will give to you also, when you follow on with God like they did.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
Galatians 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. If Paul wants us to think of him like a Angel of God, that is saying a lot who Paul is. The Word speaks for it self. Praise the Lord.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel paul said my gospel. That means ,Pual follow Jesus and we follow for our Apostle today, Amen. I speak to all that want to know the truth in the Word.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
Ray321; Again! Paul IS NOT the one we are supposed to follow, as if to have less or no respect for ALL the Lord's servants. Paul was truly a mighty man of God, and appointed a high place of authority, for the extension of the Lord's kingdom. But NO MAN is supposed to be set up exclusively as our leader, but the Lord Jesus Christ; and all the rest of us are brethren; some great some small. Jn 1:36!
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
1 Corinth 4:15-16 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. Paul was warning believers not to just trust anybody with the gospel. Paul was the one that was teaching the gospel the way Jesus wanted him to do. That's why Paul said follow me.
  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 4 - 7 years ago
Verse 4 shows that we may not be aware of some of our faults, but that does not mean we don't have them. God is our judge and we want to find out what his standards of right and wrong are.
  • Jeffrey on 1 Corinthians 4 - 8 years ago
Bottom line is growing in the knowledge of the truth which can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit and then one day you graduate just like high school... like Paul said its no longer I that Lives but is Christ that lives... meaning he doesn't leave he stays that's having the mind of Christ.. don't let nobody fool you its true its a permanent event check out 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 Awesome
  • Gordon craig on 1 Corinthians 4 - 8 years ago
    1st cor v 4 exposes mans pride
  • Lupta on 1 Corinthians 4:20 - 8 years ago
Its so true it 's all glory to Jesus his power from the Holy Ghost it 's not us
  • Rachel Rozelle on 1 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
The word of God is manifest in his power, but only by the spirit can we see this power. Many believe that the acknowledgment and or worship of Christ or God is the way to be close to him. To be close to God we must be in our own spirit the piece of God that lives within us. For he is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIGHT. Amen.
  • Tsegah Mawutor on 1 Corinthians 4:20 - 9 years ago
The kingdom of God comes as a result of the demonstration of the power of the Holy Ghost, not just by the educated words of men
  • Greg on 1 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
I believe Grace is a 2 part. 1.we must believe an accept Jesus died for our sins. 2. we are not saved by our works, but with the spirit in us, we will not want to do what he has taught us, an live right. if it was only a believing in him, then we could do anything we wanted too, as some people think
  • Rev. Autrey on 1 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
I Corinthians 4 5 says this 4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. Let 's examine what Paul is saying here. First, he says that the Lord is the one who judges him. Then he says that when the Lord comes he will bring light to the world, and then as God he will give us praises. What could be more clear. The Lord Jesus and God are the same. What I am saying is, if Jesus is not God, his judging the world would be on no consequence. Only God has the right to tell us what to do, and to punish us if we do not do it. Why can 't we see this, and why have our preachers failed to teach us this. Paul very plainly calls Jesus GOD OUR SAVIOR in the Book of Titus. He ways it this way We should live in this evil world with self control, right conduct, and devotion to God, while we look forward to that wonderful event when the glory of our great GOD AND SAVIOR, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. People let 's understand who Jesus is. The Father, God 's other personality is not the way God deals with is, and is not the way God talks to us and saves us. But Jesus is, and we must know and understand this if we want him to save us. God bless you!
  • Gloria Pray on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
Therefore the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power To me it is stating it is written in word for you to obtain understanding as you speak Gods word in any matter his word has power to over come Praise God
  • Nicholas Kariuki on 1 Corinthians 4:20 - 10 years ago
For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. meaning the kingdom of God is not based on mere word, but demonstration of His awesome power, even through spoken word.
  • Abejirin jerome on 1 Corinthians 4:7 - 10 years ago
In the kingdom there is no achievers but recievers! I dont have to earn it before i owns it
    !! Glory hallelujah
  • Michael botchwey on 1 Corinthians 4:20 - 10 years ago
the kindom of God is in demonstration of the power to deliver through the HOLY GHOST.After preaching "eloqently".
  • The one on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
As children of God we are supposed to understand the so called "mysterious ways" of God, jermiah 9:24 say that if we should glory about anything, we should glory that we understand God, for Gods ways are not so mysterious to those who are his true children. 1 cor 2:14-16 says we have the same spirit.
  • Kingsley Nwogu on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
The preaching of the apostles were declaring the mysteries of God not like the enticing words of human wisdom preached today. Apostle Paul said " we are stewards of the MYSTERIES of Christ" . The gospel is not just shouting but revealing the hidden truth of God and he that believed and is baptised shall be saved. God bless you all.
  • James John on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
I believe the statement: "the kingdom of God is not in word but in power" has a context that many of today's Christians have lost.IT IS THE POWER TO OVERCOME SIN!It's not to do with the spectacular signs and wonders that can be easily faked by the devil.Power to overcome sin!Not merely professing by word of mouth that we are Christians when we cannot overcome sin
  • Lenie on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
Its awesome its true the world hate and despise us but we are honourable before God.But many at times we forget our nobility.God bless you.
  • Mary on 1 Corinthians 4 - 10 years ago
This chapter to me, shows that the world hated anything to do with Christ then, and 2,000 years later they still hate him and anyone who stands for him. Well Christians it looks like we are doing something right....Keep up the good work. God bless you all.
  • Shanilah on 1 Corinthians 4 - 11 years ago
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. This encourages to stop being hypocrites because every thing that is done in the dark shall be manifest in the light. Imagine you and me a well known servant of God brought into light when you were a do as I say, not as I do. However God's grace is abundant. Let us come back to the first love we had when sin was sin. Come it is not too late; God's power is mighty and His mercies are new and fresh every morning. Repent from your sins because we are for Christ and Christ is for God. May the Almighty God bless you, ambassadors of Christ.
  • R. D. Mattock on 1 Corinthians 4 - 11 years ago
Verse 20 "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." I am sick and tired of Churches that act like God is dead. These signs, these supernatural signs WILL follow the believer. Jesus stated to his disciples; behold I give you power to tread over scorpions, you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Christians want to see the supernatural. They are not found in the Church, so they are flocking after the occult like Harry Potter. Let God arise once again in our churches and let our enemies be scattered.
  • Johanes chivaka on 1 Corinthians 4 - 11 years ago
I want to thank you for all your comments here, I have really learnt a lot from this chapter. May The Lord bless you.
  • Mike Wassilyn Sr. on 1 Corinthians 4 - 11 years ago
Awesome, at 03 in the morning, just finished a 3 day trial, sold a part (50%) of land and they made up a worldly story with their lawyer and sued me for all the land. Judge reserved his decision, and the law firm that represented me was Stewart, then THE LORD directed my steps to reading this passage in 1 Corinthians 4. Hallelujah, what do you think?
  • Priscilla on 1 Corinthians 4:20 - 11 years ago
For the letter killeth but the spirit maketh alive, its not in letters its in the power of the Holy Ghost.
