Its a comforting thought to know that our loved ones now asleep in mankinds's common grave have the prospect of resuming life in a wonderful new world free of all the present-day distress. And the fact that all those who have died are in Jehovah God infalliable memory.
  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 15:26 - 10 years ago
Death is truly an enemy of all man. Everyone feels the bad effects of death and no one is exempt. This is an encouraging scripture for the future. We are assured that death is going to be destroyed. Imagine a world without death in it! I look forward to a time when this will happen.
  • Helen on 1 Corinthians 15:44 - 10 years ago
We are now in the process of sowing to the body that will be. Our bodies now are adamic and must be brought down to death. As we deny the Adamic nature to rule us this body in a sense is being brought down to death. When in the resurrection we receive our house from heaven it will be glorious in direct relation to the death that we have walked out here. Remember Jesus said if you try to save your life you will lose it. So as we experience the sufferings of this life which are as a result of our great desire to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings a house is being formed for us in heaven which will clothe our resurrected bodies. The house is the same as the White Robes (righteous deeds of the saints) in Revelation. Press on with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Glorious things await us. Faithfulness is required. Jesus did it all so that you can follow Him into what he did. Unless a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die it abideth alone. He brought us to the waters of baptism to show us that the corrupt nature has to be put to death. As the waters of Noah destroyed corruption upon the earth the waters of baptism destroy corruption in us. It has to be dealt with because corruption will not inherit the Kingdom. Being brought down to death is when we no longer look out for our own interest but we begin to consider the other person's needs, we do not demand our own rights, we suffer ourselves to be defrauded knowing that Jesus will set it all straight. Remember this is a strait gate and a narrow way and few find it. Set your face toward Jerusalem and ask the Spirit to take you all the way to your Golgatha. You will be so glad in the day of the resurrection.

If you have not seen Pauls gospel yet in this chapter, consider what he writes in the first 4 verses; Paul declares the gospel to the existing believers in Corinth which they had received and which they had taken a stand, and by which they were saved. Paul writes in verse 3,4. the gospel message that he had received ( Galatians 1:11,12.)Paul received this gospel from Christ himself. There should be no other gospel preached only Pauls Galatians 1:6-10. Do you see Pauls gospel?
Ephesians 1:13 says they heard the word of truth the gospel and believed and were sealed and saved. Christ died for OUR SINS was buried and rose again according to the scriptures;thats the gospel of your salvation.
  • Joy on 1 Corinthians 15:47 - 10 years ago
One way to worship Jesus Christ as our source of life is to look above earth's trials for our answers as we dwell on all that is lovely and pure and of good report. We must allow Him to complete the good work He has begun in us as we get out of the way, major on Him and His ways, and be simple concerning the ways of evil. When we focus on Grace Himself and not the fallen tendencies inherent in the race of the first Adam, we rise in obedience to the God of Peace who swiftly crushes s. beneath our feet!
  • Joshua hood on 1 Corinthians 15:20 - 10 years ago
Jesus Christ is the " first-fruits" because he is the first to have risen from the dead never to have died again. Others had been risen from the dead before him, see Lazarus ; but who again at later dates died again. Jesus Christ is the first to have arisen from the dead never to have died again.
  • Frank willard tchale on 1 Corinthians 15:52 - 10 years ago

    1st corinthians 15 vs 3
Paul,at his conversion, received a legacy which is the gospel of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. he did not receive it and stop with it. Neither did he stop the legacy, but considered it as top priority to deliver, hand it down or pass it on. So too we who have received this life transforming gospel ought to pass it on not only in words but in life. But we realise that a lot of christians are complacent with their salvation, and do not even care to pass on this christian legacy to those around them. If we fail to pass on our christian faith and heritage, the devil will certainly pass on his own. Therefore lets be concious in life, speech and character to pass on the legacy that Christ has handed down to us

What this means to me that people are going to talk about whether it's good or bad we gotta learn to separate ourselves from negative people because they will find anyway to bring you down
  • James Manning on 1 Corinthians 15:52 - 10 years ago
Bottom line- -Math 24-6 the end is not yet! Verse 7 through 28 will be fulfilled. Then in verse 29, JESUS said, Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days - - HE continued in verse 30; and then shall appear the sign of the Son Of Man in heaven - - all will morn and they shall see HIM coming in the clouds. 31. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. - - - BELEAVE JESUS!
  • Timothy Wayne George on 1 Corinthians 15:23 - 10 years ago
Christ has given an order of the resurrection. Blessed and holy are those in the first resurrection at His coming. The hour is coming when all in the grave will hear His voice, those who have done good unto the resurrection of life, and those that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation. Jesus is the first fruits, and then we at His coming. Therefore be ye steadfast always abounding in the work of the Lord, for we know that our labor is not in vain in the Lord.
  • Erwin on 1 Corinthians 15:53 - 10 years ago
We will be changed from sinful to sinless human beings. This will make us immortal because sin results to death. The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death...". In other words if there is no sin there is no death. We are still flesh and blood as Jesus is after His resurrection where He ate broiled fish ( Luke 24:42)
  • QueenAna on 1 Corinthians 15 - 10 years ago
No need to think, just read and pray for understanding...
  • Patrick on 1 Corinthians 15 - 10 years ago
Pauls Gospel;verse 3,4. "Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again" How many people miss Pauls gospel. Its the gospel of our salvation Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
This is how I got saved.

Well trinitarians, there goes the three equal God theory. How can the 3 gods of the trinity be equal if Jesus is subject to anybody.

  • Linda on 1 Corinthians 15:52 - 11 years ago
It says..at the last trumpet, so is this the 7th trumpet of revelation that this will happen? Does that mean we will go through the tribulation?
  • DONALD BARKLEY on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
Awesome. Thank you. Glory, glory be to God our savior. Amen. In Jesus name.
  • R. D. Mattock on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
Friends becoming enemies; Iran and Syria enemies of the past are now friends. Herod and Pilot enemies to kill Jesus became friends. The only people who are not coming together is the church. In the world enemies are becoming friends to bring a program. In the church you cant get people together. 1 Corinthians 15 is the foundation that all Protestant Churches must agree upon. If not our preaching is vain, our faith is vain, we are yet in our sins. The enemy wins. There is strength in numbers and in unity.
  • Elvis on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
    @Ces,
Please read Acts 19:6, you will find that the apostle Paul baptized people with the holy spirit, read also Acts 1 and Acts 2:8.
  • Camillus ezimoha on 1 Corinthians 15:19 - 11 years ago
We should not only be interested in material things, but also focused on things that pertain to eternal life in heaven. We are in the end of time period and we should not in the process of trying to make both ends meat, forget to seek the salvation of our soul.
  • Anonymous on 1 Corinthians 15:58 - 11 years ago
We as Christians must hold on, be steadfast and unmovable.
  • Ces 1 on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
    @Elvis,
There are 2 types of baptism; the baptism of water and the baptism of spirit. But the apostles dont give the holy ghost, Jesus does
  • Betty on 1 Corinthians 15:5 - 11 years ago
Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalena first, but Paul wouldn't dream of giving credit to a woman. Jesus told Mary to go and tell the brethren.
It was Jesus giving dignity and respect to woman by choosing to appear to Mary first.
  • Ikukuoha Valentine onyekachi on 1 Corinthians 15:58 - 11 years ago
The work of God is a real labour but one thing is sure, we'll never go unrewarded because it's not in vain. God is not a man that He should lie. 'We must see Him as He is, face to face, when Jesus shall come'... Hallelujah...
  • Phyllis Kunz on 1 Corinthians 15:51 - 11 years ago
I believe 1 Corinthians 15:51 is relevant for this generation.
