God promised Abraham he would be the Father of MANY NATIONS.

Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of MANY many nations have I made thee.

If the "Jews" are all of Abraham, where are all these MANY "jewish nations"...?

There is only one and it was created by the antichrist United Nations and one is not many.

Either God lied (impossible) or the Jews can be not all of Israel.

Where are the MANY JEWISH NATIONS of Abraham?

Judah and Israel were not the same people. God divorced Israel and not Judah. One tribe is not many

Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of DIVORCE; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

    The Lord DIVORCED ISRAEL

Israel and judah had wars and different kings as well as different capitols. Jerusalem capitol of Judah.

    Samaria capitol of Israel.

2 Kings 8:16 ...Joram the son of Ahab KING of ISRAEL, Jehoshaphat being then KING of JUDAH, ...

1 Kings 21:1 ....had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the PALACE of Ahab KING of SAMARIA.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

this verse says a new covenant with both Israel AND Judah. So how can they be the same?

Hosea 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

Romans 9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

Galatians 3:29. - And if ye be Christ's, then ARE ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The first covenant was made between God and Abraham with the circumcision as a symbol. Out of Abraham God promised a great nation, and God would be their protector. Hence the whole story of the Jews.

Although they, time and again, disobey God, but God still have a covenant with then and will deal with them in the final 7 years during the tribulation. (for those who still did not accept His son, Jesus Christ)

    Baptism....... Only Jesus......nothing else!!

    God is Good!!

Minnie Evans, That is a good question. Here is what I know. God didn't choose the Jews. He created them, Isaiah 43:1. So, why are they called the Chosen People? What were they chosen for? Better yet, what did God create Israel for? Was there a purpose? I would like to hear opinions on this.

Jeremiah 3:8 "And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also."

GOD DIVORCED ISRAEL so did God divorced the Jews?

No Moses was not of the tribe of Judah, we was of Levi.

1 Chronicles 23:14 Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.

  • Mishael on SIGNS of the TIMES - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 15 - 3 years ago
Our society says what it says in 2 Peter 3:4, 'Where is the Promise of His (Jesus's) coming?

Verse 10: But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the Night. Massive spiritual darkness. Pretty much like 2020, huh?

Verse 12: LOOKING FOR and hastening to the coming of the Day of GOD...

If it's just another day upon a 1000 previous days, and no big deal??

Either we're ALL IN now, or we may sleep and miss it. Jesus frequently taught times and seasons to farmers, shepherds, fishermen; He said how is it that you can't read THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES that you're living in?

It could happen any time truly. People are engrossed with the virus, no jobs, shaky economy. What happens if there's a rollout on fires, floods, hurricanes, tornado outbreaks, electric grid gone down ...etc

Look what's happened just in the past 4 months!? Massive hoarding, whining, people armed to the gills and angry. Huge numbers of deaths from virus, the annual flu season; defeated diseases reoccurring because people stubbornly refuse to vaccinate children! See a newborn with whooping cough?

Quit banking on more time and get saved NOW. For once in your life admit you are a sinful flawed human being. Jesus will help you with that. You will miss the Rapture if you procrastinate. (Caught Up)

Give God your life now. Choose wisely. It is not hard to admit you're a sinner.

If you have ever told a lie; stolen a pen from work, lewd thoughts of the opposite sex or same sex, coveted your neighbors riding lawnmower or his spouse; treat your parents like their minds are gone, don't kill your unborn; have Budda statues or beer can art in the house & worship them; never attend church because a sports event starts early. Adultery.

The Bible says if we even do one of those sins, we are guilty of ALL 10!!

Give your stubborn heart to God NOW and let Him work the details of your redemption. Ask God to baptize you with His Holy Spirit. Tell friends you're born again!

    Minnie, to your questions:

    a. Deuteronomy 7:6-8 gives us the most concise & beautiful answer to your question on the "Jews being God's chosen". Simply, because He loved this people (Israel) & would abide with the oath made to their forefathers. In theological terms, we call this "Election". Their lineage (as for all of us) started with Adam & Eve, then after the Flood (i.e. the Anger of God) destroyed the Earth, except for Noah & his family plus animals, the children of Noah then repopulated the Earth. One of his sons, Shem, was the father of many, many others & from one of those, Abraham came & you can follow the story from there to Jacob (Israel). As well, the Jews (Israel) didn't "hate God's teaching", but certainly, they were unfaithful to God many times during their ancestry, even to the point of rejection of God's Messiah, putting Him to the Cross.

    b. Only those who have been washed from their sins through the merits of Jesus death on the Cross will "hear the Trumpet call". So this includes both Jews & Gentiles who have been saved through faith & not by obedience to the Law.

    c. If you mean 'water baptized' then Scripture tells us that water baptism is symbolic (just as the Lord' Supper) to outwardly show what has taken place inwardly in a person. So, baptism gives the new believer the testimony of obedience & a clear conscience of God's Work in them ( 1 Pet 3:20,21). But if you mean "if people refuse to, or can't be baptized", then one would need to find out the reasons.

    d. Mt 7:21-23: Even those who claim to have done mighty things in Jesus' Name can be rejected from Heaven, only those who do the Father's Will, will enter it. In other words, there are many being very busy in good works, maybe trying to get God's Approval, but haven't been saved. And what is the Father's Will? That we repent of our sins because of Jesus' Sacrifice for us, be born again of His Spirit, & living a Christ-centred life. These are the children of the Kingdom.
  • Minnie Evans on 1 Corinthians 15 - 3 years ago
Why are Jews the chosen people?

    They hated Gods Teaching.

When the trumpet blows are they going to hear it and be caught up in the rapture?

What about people that don't get baptized?

    Everybody isn't going to Heaven?

I wrote back but I shifted position and lost

    it :(

I'm free tomorrow so I'll try to remember what I said lol. Main thing is the Holy Spirit has said that what's going on over there is between Jesus and the nation of Israel. I don't get a vote. God bless you.

Mishael I looked at Jews for Jesus and that "messianic Jew" Stan Telchin and I notice they always have that 6 pointed star on their sites. the same 6 pointed star on the Israeli flag.

Old Testament book of Amos 5:26 But ye (Jews) have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the STAR star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. (what star do Jews carry?)

New Testament book of Acts 7:43 Yea, ye (Jews) took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the STAR star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

Who was Moloch? Jeremiah 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto MOLECH Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this ABOMINATION abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

Unless the book of acts is wrong, the 6 pointed star is tied into the occult with Moloch since it is the only star the Jews have carried for centuries. Personally I find this troubling.

A Jewish author wrote the book "The Six Pointed Star book" by author O.J. Graham

He lays it out plain as day from the scripture, history and the occult.

Personally I find this disturbing for alleged believers using occult symbolism.

    6 pointed star does it equal 666? 6 points, 6 triangles 6....?

Geof: there's a video on YouTube by Stan Telchin. (who was a Jew). He has passed. He has a book with much info in it, where all the Jews fled to.

His daughter got saved at college. He launched himself to prove that Christianity was all wrong. He ended up getting saved at a conference; when he got home he was happy to find out that his wife had gotten saved too.

It gives insight into Jewish thought.

He wrote a book called, Betrayed.

Vincent, there is no indication that Job lacked food during his lifetime (though of course, he lost so much else). It could be that as a result of his great losses & personal affliction by Satan (boils), that his appetite may not have been normal. Also, we don't hear anymore of his wife after she gives Job some wrong advice (2:9) & a slight reference to her (31:9,10) which is only an illustration Job makes: "if he should give into passion to another woman, then may his wife be given to another man": implying that he would never do such a thing. So, we know little more than this about her, though we could assume that his physical torture was accompanied with 'fireworks' around the house.

What a great perfect plan for Salvation. Some may say, "Why is Adam's sin, passed onto us,?" But, how much more was the blood of Christ shed for us, to be redeemed! I love Paul mentioning, "I give you a mystery". In our earthly thoughts, how can one be given in corruption, and then be given in incorruption, but, that's what I love about faith, Trusting Christ.!

'Today you'll be with me in paradise' - suggest that Eccl 3:21 corruption do not belong in the oath of public office, let alone authority. However, Luke 23:43 is in the second death.

'Man became a living soul' whereas, the soul is the medium between heaven and earth for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares Allah, as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.Eccl 3:21

God never removed our shame at all. And if you look around people now call it a source of pride. The age is ending and most are doomed. God help us in these difficult times.
  • Lilian on 1 Corinthians 15 - 4 years ago
God removed our shame and our unrighteousness on the cross it is finished our job now is to accept Jesus as our Saviour and live and be like him forever and ever Amen

When Death is destroyed, then humans will have the opportunity to have everlasting life. At Psalms 37:9-11,29 it shows that righteous humans will have the opportunity to live forever on earth. When there is no more sickness, crime, and death then we will be able to enjoy life on earth eternally.

  • Craig on 1 Corinthians 15 - 5 years ago
Best to start with the concept of Resurrection. Those who are asleep in Christ will be called up first. Then the living. But after the thousand years the wicked sleep and those who died at HIS appearing will be raised. No where in scripture do we find Grandma cooking brownies for us as we carry out all manner of evil under her watchful eye. No where does scripture honestly support the concept

As the body of Christ has many members, there be many antichrists in the earth. The GOD of the spirits of all flesh saved his spirit from many earthen vessels, but those same vessels walk and talk even now; so that spirit of antichrist (being crooked and in many) is seen naked. It is written, Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
  • Niles Livingston Sr. on 1 Corinthians 15 - 5 years ago
Just as there is one body of Christ, yet many members ( I Cor. 12 ), so to is The Godhead ( God the Father, God the Son, and God the holy Spirit ). One God and three members. And one of them became 100% man ( Phil. 2:1-11 ) ...Jesus IS God the Son, who became man ( I Tim. 2:1-5; I Cor. 15:1-58. ...but WHO PAYS ATTENTION to details...?? Dan. 10:21; 12:10; Prov. 28:4-5; I Cor. 1:10; 2:1-16!! Amen!!
