If ever men in a church are starting to step down from preaching then God shall choose a man among them to ordain him to preach in that church because it is His will that the fruit in that church should remain ( John 15:16) and with God nothing shall be impossible ( Luke 1:37) just as how Saul was told as His chosen vessel to bear His name ( Acts 9:15).
1-Corinthians 14:34-36 is ABSOLUTE, regarding how women SHOULD BEHAVE themselves in the CHURCH: "to KEEP SILENCE, is NOT PERMITTED to speak, COMMANDED to be in UNDER OBEDIENCE, it's a SHAME TO SPEAK in the CHURCH"...There's NO EXCEPTION to the rule that has been mentioned in these verses...
I believe that the fact that 1st Corinthians 14:33 states that "God is not the author of confusion" may shed some light. I also believe Proverbs 4:7 which states "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Therefore, I will seek more understanding of how God would have me interpret this verse.
I don't understand it. It right or not to speak in tongues. I thought it was right but the way I am seeing this verse, it says it's not right to speak in tongues. What are they saying? Is there a difference between speaking with and/or in tongues? I am confused now. Please help as I am learning the Bible and want to know what I am learning is the truth. Thank you.

There are 2 different uses of tongues. One is a prayer language and the other is a gift that should have interpretation to follow if done in the church Ephesians 14:2, 4. Verse 18, Paul says, "I thank God, I speak with tongues more than ye all." Tongues were for a sign of receiving the Holy Ghost. It has NEVER been done away with. If this is the belief, then where is "That which is perfect"? Ephesians 13:9 clearly says, "For now we know in PART and we prophecy in PART, But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away". I personally know that I do not know God as I am known by Him...yet! That which is perfect, is The perfect love that we must have for all God�s creation. We are still very divided in our beliefs and that tells me that which is "perfect" has certainly not come yet. I would suggest a word study on the word "perfect" in the King James Bible; of course, to find out what God means by perfect and perfection. We are NOT yet there and we have a long way to go.
We would not have to die today if Adam did not listen to Eva then disobeyed God. The word can't be change and we need to live according to what is in the bible. Women are to be silent at the churches, that is true as it is written and we cannot change. I have attended the church where a woman was standing in front of the congregational and express the word of God as if its hers and I was worried thats I googled this verse today .
Many believe this to mean abolishment of women in all church activities. I believe that God made man head of household for his strength and wisdom; and with wisdom comes a sense of understanding. The right submissiveness and the right husband/wife will work together to achieve God�s overall effect.
The Apostle Paul told us to speak the truth in love so, and that�s how it goes. You say that you cannot find a whole chapter on prayer; what did Jesus go into the garden for? Pray! What about when he charged his disciples, asking them if they could not pray for one hour. How about in Matthew 5 when he told us how to do what? Pray! When Peter was imprisoned in Acts, what the church did? They prayed! In Acts 10 Cornelius did what? He prayed! Look for God's gold Sir, search the scriptures! No scripture on Tithing? Malachi 3 said if you didn't pay your tithes you did what? You robbed God in tithes and offering and that you were cursed with a curse. In fact we don�t need a whole chapter for God to declare it, we need to obey what is there, we need to submit. We don't like that much word. The great commission truly did declare us to go forth baptizing in the NAME. Father, son, Holy Ghost are titles not a NAME. If you research this, you will find in Acts, which is the unfinished history of the New Testament church, every time someone was baptized, it wasn�t done in the titles it was done in the Name of Jesus. For WHAT? The remission of sins! Read it for yourself. In fact in Acts 19, Paul asked the disciples of John what baptism were they baptized in, then they were re-baptized in Jesus� Name. Why because the power is in that NAME, the remission of sins is in the act of obedience to God's word! When we are baptized correctly, the blood has been applied, we arise in the newness of life! We have put on Christ! We have been buried with him in baptism! If it wasn't important why did Peter preach it so ardently on the day of Pentecost to a multitude of 3,000 people? A word about tongues; The word said that tongues would cease when? What happened? When HE that is perfect has comes, that�s really what it says. Tongues have not ceased! In fact if you look at it, Paul said that he forbids not to speak in tongues that he spoke in tongues more than you all! No, when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, we will speak in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. No Sir, that experience is still for us today, then are we born again, as John 3:3, 5 said, �born of water and spirit�?
1 Corinthians 12:1, �Now concerning spiritual gifts I would not have you ignorant�. Is prayer important? Yes. Is tithing important? Yes. I cannot find a whole chapter on any of these. There is a whole chapter on instruction for tongues given to the Church. Some would say it is of the Devil. Before I got saved I hung out at the bars, I never once heard anybody there speaking in tongues. Jesus spoke of two experiences. A well and rivers of living water. The well is when you get saved. Rivers are when you get filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Paul speaks in tongues in prayer. Because at time, we don't know how to pray but the Spirit makes intercession. Buy the way it is recorded three times when Jesus spoke in tongues. Mark 5:41 and Mathew 27:46, are two of the three times. The Great Commission; does not stop at baptizing them in the name of the Father and Son, and the Holy Ghost. It goes on to say they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall cast out Devils.
It is not what I think of 1 Corinthians 14:39, but what the Bible says about it. God's written word tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:8 that tongues would cease because it was no longer needed after God's word was completed. Tongues were for unbelievers (unbelieving Israel). Tongues ceased with the completion the written Scripture. The extensive evidence of church history and the effects of tongues on human experience; the emotional extremism, the doctrinal ignorance and confusion, the divisive nature tongues, represent the pride and empty conceit generated by erratic unscriptural experience. All these point to the truth of Paul's inspired Word; tongues shall cease ( 1 Cor. 13:8).
Why will we not listen to what Paul teaches us, and not hold to his word which has come from the lord, I pray that God has mercy on us all; women cannot teach in the church, but they can sing and praise the lord in the church!
To avoid the responsibility of heading over their houses, many men, and for the stigma related to submission, women have taken the feminist argument looking to invalidate the Word of God. They must remember that his Word is settled in heaven forever.
If there are too quiet why do we have choirs filled with women singing loudest in churches and how did Jesus treat women? Again how can we live in the world without women?
What I find interesting is the efforts people will go to, to avoid this passage, or to do proper research to find out where all this "subjection" started in scripture, as it says in 1 Corinthians 14:34, "Just as the Law also states". The Pentateuch, or books of the Law, is where this commandment is located. People who do not like this doctrine, however, do not want to do the work necessary to figure out where, and when, this commandment was made. They avoid doing any research at all because the very idea presented in this command, is contrary to their desires. Let�s do a little research, however, and see if we can trace this commandment down. That this "Law" was in place, from the earliest times is clear, if you look at the other references to women, and submission. ( 1 Peter 3:5-6) " 1 Peter 3:5 For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands; 6 just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear." That women, and many men, do not like this verse, either, as it clarifies that submission ALWAYS results in obedience to the will of the one submitted to, the same obedience as children to their parents in a discussion that includes wives being subject to husbands, Men to the word of God/Christ, Children to parents, and slaves to masters,... as this is the same word, is also another issue: � Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.� Again, while this is the exact same word as Sarah�s submissiveness verifies in 1 Peter, shows that the Obedience is the same, and always accompanies biblical submission, but it also shows something else, that submission was in practice PRIOR TO ABRAHAM. This does pin things down a bit. Where, prior to Abraham, did God give this command? Keep in mind that many twist, distort, alter, � the meaning of this passage to fit what they want to believe as well, but if we follow rules for interpreting meaning that are common to ALL languages, then we know that �If the EXACT same wording is used, by the same author, then the meaning is consistent, ESPECIALLY if the exact same wording is used in close proximity to the previous wording.� In other words, if we had a passage that read this: � Genesis 4:7 "If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." And another passage that read this, �Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.", and the wording were exactly the same, and by the same author, and the passages were within, say, 15 verses of each other, the meanings of the two verses would be the same. What is the consistent meaning in BOTH passages? Keep in mind that this EXACT SAME wording is not used anywhere else in scripture. To help, sins desire was to master, or rule over, Cain, and thus have control over him. God said that this was not to be, and that Cain was to be the Master, Rule, be in charge, � over it, and not let sin rule over him. A woman�s desire will be to rule, be in control, be in charge, � over her husband, and he is commanded by God NOT TO LET HER, but to be the master, ruler, � over her. Like I said, most people really do not want to look. Why would any woman want to give up the very things that the word of God says she will truly desire. Any man attempting to teach these things, and to hold his church, and the men in it, accountable for what God commands in this verse, will find out exactly who is in control of the households in his church. Men, keep in mind that there were 2 reasons for God�s giving Adam consequences in Genesis 3:17. The first is that Adam listened to his wife. The second was that Adam disobeyed God. Any man unwilling to obey God�s command to rule over his household, and not let his wife have control, is, in fact disobeying God at the same time. You are no different than Adam. You are habitually sinning. Ruling in love, and submission being voluntary, are, again, separate issues.

Because that's the only place ''Your'' is used in this chapter, elsewhere it only uses ''ye'' or ''any''. So the ''Your'' means it's about specific group of women, which are the wives of the leaders.

What people seem to miss or overlook is that St. Paul stated that a women's silence in the mixed assemblies was "A commandment of the Lord" and thus cannot be rescinded even after almost 2,000 years of compliance.
I believe that speaking in tongues is a gift from the LORD. I also believe that women can and shall preach/teach the WORD of G_D. The LORD can and will use whom HE chooses...
Verse 37 says: if any man thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual let him acknowledge that the things I write are commandments. The law did not provide for women priests. The word of God does not provide for women pastors or teachers in the church. In 1 Timothy 2:12-15 the Holy Spirit speaks by the mouth of Paul: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to ursurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in transgression. Paul in bring this teaching to the church takes us back to Genesis after the fall. The Husband was placed as the ruler or overseer of the house ( Genesis 3:16). She cannot be a teach or overseer in the Household of God. In 1Peter 3:1-2 it says: likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that, if any obey not the word, they may without the word be won by the the conversion (or conduct) of the wives; while they behold your chaste conversation coupled. The disobedient husband was to be won over by the chaste, reverend and holy conduct of the wife and not by her preaching to him. In Revelation 2:20 Jesus says: notwithstanding I have a fem things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols. Scripture has compound revelation. In 2Peter 3:15-17 Peter says: and account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, in which the that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also with other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Clearly here in verse 17 Peter says the epistles of Paul are scripture. Jesus says in John 10:35: the scripture cannot be broken. The Holy Ghost church is covenanted to God by His word and his spirit as it says in Isaiah 59:21: as for me, this is my convenant with them, saith the Lord: My spirit that is upon the and my words which I have put in thy mouth shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, from henceforth and for ever. God put his word in the mouth of Paul for he was a seed son sent by the Holy Ghost (Acts13:4). The Holy Ghost by the mouth of Paul is telling us here in 1Corinthians 13:33-37 the position of women in all the congregation of the saints. In verse 37 he says clearly it is the commandment of the Lord. Any commandment of man taught as doctrine in the church is leaven of Pharisees and Saducees (Mathew 16:6-12;15:1-9). They were vain worshippers because they taught for doctrine the commandments of man. They broke the feast by eating the passover bread with leaven of false doctrine ( 1 Cor. 5: 6-8, Exodus 12: 15)

Yes of course a woman can sing and praise God Almighty.Many women in fact are more intelligent than most men.However, that is not what Pual is saying.How can it be any clearer?Heaven and earth shall pass,but not His word.Women are not to allowed to teach or to usurp authority over the man.Any other way would contradict the scriptures. And we all know The Lord would never do that...
As I understand it, the women in Corinth sat in a different section than their husbands and were bad about shouting out to them for clarification, thus disrupting the service. What Paul�s saying here is to not disturb the service. Does (or did) this apply only to Corinthian woman? The church I go to is small and very interactive. Our pastor welcomes feedback during the service from all members, men and women. We can�t pick and choose which parts of the Bible to follow and which to ignore, but we also must look at in context and not just blindly follow. If your church welcomes the interaction, I seriously doubt God has a problem with it. If women (or men for that matter) are unwelcomingly disruptive, I would say keep quiet.

This letter to the Church @ Corinth was to bring peace and order back to the household of God. Paul's main point is to emphasize the importance of edification, exhortation, and comfort towards the church body.(vs 3) In the Church, speaking, praying, singing in non-intelligible manners did nothing to EDIFY the Church. This Church at Corinth was full of Spiritual Pride and confusion and disorder of many forms. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
