Peace agbley, thanks for your comment. I see it a different way, and believe Christians can and will get sick. We live in a human body and are subject to illnesses today just like people were in the Bible.
Paul was one of the Christian pioneers and I doubt most people today measure up to his strength, faith and perseverance in preaching about Jesus. But he was sick: Gal 4:13 and had a thorn in the flesh (possibly poor eyesight) which he was never healed of to our knowledge. Also his Christian brother, Epaphroditus, was so sick he nearly died. Phil 2:27. The Bible does not say we as Christians are immune to sickness. Jesus himself on earth also experienced the physical effects of being human: tiredness/exhaustion, crying, pain, and being so stressed out that blood came out his pores. Revelation says we'll be free of all these things in heaven.
Folks need to realize when we except Jesus into our hearts that all He is is in us. All the gifts are there we need to learn how to use them. It takes all the parts of the body to make the body work and stay healthy. Each one of us is a part
Just as all of the members of the body are necessary; all of the gifts of the Spirit are necessary in individual Churches that form the body of Christ. If your Church is lacking, someone needs to be earnestly coveting.
JESUS IS SAYING I HAVE NEED OF YOU.EVEN THE HEAD(WHICH IS CHRIST)HAVE NEED OF EVRY PART OF THE BODY.AND WE THE BODY HAVE NEED OF ONE ANOTHER .DO NOT COUNT YOURSELF OUT,IF YOU ARE A PART OF THE BODY,THAN YOU ARE IMPORTANT.

I hope this offers a helpful perspective.
