Verse 19: Jehovah will make the so called wisdom of this world perish.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Jesus Christ is the Word, therefore we must believe his Word. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.the Word is Salvation. 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. The Word is Alive.

Ray321; AMEN Brother! How can we get saved without the word of God? How can we continue in His grace without the word of God? Isaiah 8:20 literally translated, says, "To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no *light (i.e. a dawning; as one up early to a task; URGENCY!) in them." If there's no burning hunger for God's word there's darkness!

For the wages of sin is death. That means we are going to face death because of sin on our flesh. Paul had the same problem we are facing, our flesh produce sin. Roman 8:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? By reading the Word and praying to the Father, we can be cleanse from this corrupt body, which is the flesh. Amen
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Ephesians 5:26 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. If we have sin in our lives, let the Word of God cleanse us. Let all keep reading the Word and get cleanse.
  • Wayne on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Bro Ray 321, you stopped right at the answer to which you need. Read Roman's 8: 10-21. Don't stop at v.10. Your answer is in v.11. You stopped at half the work of grace. Both spirit and body are to be purified to be a child of God, Father, Son, Holy Ghost. He that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

Ray321; I like the way you said that! and the things that were eventually the cause of the cataclysm then (the flood); are really the same terrible today as well! The way I understand the Constitution, and the kind of men who founded our Country; the USA is a Christian, God fearing Country; and the kindness in it is the provision for men who may not wish to be religious, that they too may be free.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Ray321 (cont.); How many times do we read where the Lord answered His adversaries with, Have you not read? Have you not read so much as this? Have you NEVER READ..? Matthew wrote his Evangel in 37 AD; the same year as the Lord's death and resurrection. Most of the other Books were written about twenty to thirty years later. John's Books were written some sixty years later. They only used Old Test.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Ray321; When Nicodemus came to Jesus by night in John 3, the Lord spoke with him about being born from above, born of the water and of the Spirit, a life led by the Spirit, and how it was all on account of that He must be lifted up. When Nicodemus stood there feeling stupid, and asked, How can these things be? Jesus said, You are the teacher of Israel! and these things you know not? 2 Tim 3:16
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Romans 8:10 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. As a born again child of God, the body will sin, but the new man inside me which is the Holy Spirit will not sin. If we follow the old testament instead of the new testament, it will not make any sense. There was no preaching of saved by Grace when Jesus was walking on earth.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. If God repent, thes it mean it's of sin, absolutely no. God has no sin, do He can't repent of sin. Repentance is a change of way. Like this, I repent not to eat ice cream because it's rotting my teeth. Do a study on repent. Praise the Lord brother
  • Wayne on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Repent, to turn from evil and turn to good. Change of heart and mind. Not just saying a person is sorry and continuing on.
  • Wayne on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Ray 321, if you are continuously sinning, you are still a sinner, not saved by grace. 1 John 3:6, Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not, Whosoever sinneth, hath not seen neither known Him. V. 8, He that commith sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifest, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Wayne, the Kingdom of Heaven was promise to the Jews, but now we are saved thru Grace in the body of Christ for the Kingdom of God, which is a Spiritual Kingdom. If you repent of your sins for Salvation, you will be repenting every day, because we sin everyday. Jesus finished the work on the cross for all of our sins. 1 Corth 15:1-4 , believe with all your heart and mind what he did with faith.

Ray321, Matt. 4:17, when Jesus began preaching He said, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Folks,

All I can say, is halleluiah! There will never be a soldier, like KING JESUS. I also, thank the Jewish people, for being a vessel. I will never understand, why anyone will not accept the offer of grace that was given to us by the this wonderful warrior. GOD BLESS

1Corinthians1:24 But unto them which are called---/ John6:44 No man can come to me, except The Father which hath sent me draw him---.The Father will tug on your Heart. You will know you are a sinner. He will tell you, you need Christ. Ask forgiveness. You will be cleansed by His Blood, that's why He went to the Cross. You will be Baptized with The Holy Ghost
    Matthew 3:11 / changed 2Corinthians5:17
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
The Law was made for the Jews, to show them that they are sinners. They had to follow the Law and do animal sacrifice to cover there sins for Salvation in the Old Testament. Believing and faith is the same in the Old testament and New testament. But Salvation is different, we are save by grace by faith in Jesus Christ plus nothing. Law, repentance, baptizing, tongues, works, will not save. Free .
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Bruce, thanks for you friendly response. If you were to take out all of the books of the Apostle Paul, Romans through Philemon, can you still find Salvation in our era? Trust me, is not a trick question. You must know that Jesus had a promise to fulfil and that is Jews. Romans through Philemon are dealing with Gentiles. Are you a Jew or Gentile? Apostle Paul is our teacher, Romans 15:16. Bless
  • Bruce on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Ray: The Law saves no one. It shows we need a Savior! Neither is there Salvation in any other:for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be Saved. Acts4:12 /By The Blood we are Saved. We are Cleanse by His blood. Revelation1:5 / At the same time We are Baptized with The Holy Ghost and with Fire. Matthew3:11/Made New! 2Corinthians5:17)Tug on your Heart ask forgiveness

A disciple - study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 my friend, if you say that you study by rightly dividing the Word of truth and being approved by God, I say God bless you. I gave you the verses and I don't believe you understand it in no disrespect to your beliefs. The body of Christ, God bless. .

Hi Bruce, my name is Ray321 so no one gets it mistaken. This website is good to learn as a study guide and to share the Word to the un saved. It's God will that we study by reading his Word. Paul was chosen Act 9:15, Paul laid the foundation 1 Corinthians 3:1023, Paul said follow me 1 Corinthians 4:16, now Paul's Gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul to the Gentiles Romans 15:16, God bless you. ....
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Ray; I know the New Testament very well, have read it hundreds of times! If you carefully study what Peter said on the day of Pentecost, you'll see the same Glad Tidings! That Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles, does not make him our lord, above any other of the LORD's servants who wrote the Scriptures. The Gentiles were grafted into the Commonwealth and Glory of Israel, not made a replacement!
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
A disciple, all of the Bible is and always will be Gods Word. Romans 11:13 Paul state that he is an Apostle for the Gentiles, are you a Gentile? If we took out the books of Romans through Philemon, we would have to follow the Law in order for Salvation. You see, Jesus has chosen Paul for this dispensation of grace. Please read Romans through Philemon and find the truth. God bless you. ....
  • Ray123 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Iren123 you sound like a nice person. When we go to church, our paster is supposed to inspire us with the Word of God, but it's our responsibility to learn ourselves to study and pray with the Holy Spirit for understanding. Please understand that we all have to read the Bible for knowledge and wisdom. God bless you.....
  • Bruce on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Ray:Apostles today are those who have been saved. We are The Light in a Dark World,The only Light. We are sent to preach The Gospel. Not sure what you mean by new, when there is no new gospel. Galatians 1:6-9. What do you mean by Paul is our Apostle today? You began with if you're looking for answers from man,let every man be a liar and let God be true
then you give instructions,What are you saying?
  • Angie on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
