He who has seen me has seen the father." So, how can you believe in Three Gods when the bible clearly states that there is One God ( Deuteronomy 6:4)?
We see here that even baptism can be greatly misused. Thus we see there is no truth of the christian faith so basic but what it cannot indeed be mishandled so greatly and run into the ground so hard that we have not totally misrepresented the very basis of any decent understanding of it.

The message of the Cross was both simple yet profound. That it's beauty lay in making a true & full declaration of its basic message and then allow the Holy Spirit to apply it in His Own way to the hearts of the hearers. So if Paul took the path of other speakers with flowery language & convincing arguments, he says that the message of the Cross would be rendered vain or ineffectual, being lost in the midst of such a delivery & of no spiritual use to his audience.

Hi Gregory, You are right but I would put it this way, Christ has freed us from the "curse" of the law, and that we are no longer under the "curse" of the law. Galatians 3:11-13. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth
We was redeemed by his precious blood. Ephesians 1:7. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; We was purchased by his blood Acts 20:28, Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
We are forgiven but those sins wasn't, Jesus wasn't pardoned because he was the Christ, He had a debt to pay to the father, God is not a crooked judge, the penalty for those sins had to be paid, And he paid them on the cross. A good study on Romans Ch: 5, 6, 7, and 8 is very helpful on this topic.
Just to give a quick reply. Yes, the law is more than the Ten Commandments. The 613 Mitzvot laws which the Ten Commandments are in or from. As the Ten Commandments are not the whole law they are moral and eternal. Jesus preached them. There are many laws in the Mitzot that are moral, righteous, and still stand. As you stated about stoning people. Jesus Christ showed us , with the adulterous, that he does not condone this law. Or about washing hands before eating. A Nazarite to not eat fresh grapes or raisins seems foolish to me. Although thousands of years ago there was probably a reason for it.
Just as there are many wise teachings throughout the Holy Bible that are not necessarily in the Mitzvot. Instead of thinking basically "it is the whole law or Gods grace". A lot of the "laws" in the Mitvot have God's grace in them. Some are "ritual" and I don't see the significance to them.

The law is more than the ten comandments ,if you have read the old testament you know this and you know that there is no forgivness under the law ,are you circumcised ? If you are not and you think we are under the law then you had better get circumcised ,forgiveness is not permitted ,if you are married and your spouse commits adultery you are not permitted to forgive them even if you want to ,they must be stoned to death by you ,if you attempt to conceal your spouses breaking of the law you must be stoned also , i will say it again ,the law is more than the ten commandment ,if you have read the new testament you must realise that we are not under the law ,the ten commandments are excellent ,do i still have to honour my father and mother if they abuse me physically mentaly emotionaly day after day ? To wit. The Israelites kept the law without option, really. The Christian keeps the law because he loves Christ.
Am I correct in saying that Christ has freed us from the law, having fulfilled it on the cross, and triumphing over it openly putting it to shame. Yet God's still busy caring for us. What is man that God is mindful of us?
Can our presence bring healing or deliverance?

Were we even able to be born of our own free will?
When Moses went to visit God on the Mount to receive the commandments of God, he was expecting to be in the presence of God. What he did not know was that going into the presence of the Lord would allow him to receive the Glory of the Lord.
When God's Glory is shown on and through His children there is no need to boast or to act mighty. God's Glory will draw men unto Him. In this regard, lets be prepared to work and help others to understand that to glory in self is to glory in vain. For what you glory in will last for only a moment.

As the Ten Commandments are not the whole law they are moral and eternal. Jesus preached them. There are many laws in the Mitzot that are moral, righteous, and still stand. As you stated about stoning people. Jesus Christ showed us , with the adulterous, that he does not condone this law. Or about washing hands before eating. A Nazarite to not eat fresh grapes or raisins seems foolish to me. Although thousands of years ago there was probably a reason for it.
Just as there are many wise teachings throughout the Holy Bible that are not necessarily in the Mitzvot. Instead of thinking basically "it is the whole law or Gods grace". A lot of the "laws" in the Mitvot have God's grace in them. Some are "ritual" and I don't see the significance to them.
Let us use our hearts. Always retain God in our thinking and may our Lord Jesus Christ lead the way. Amen.
Jesus said in Matthew below:
Matthew 5:17-18 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
The above is very easy to understand...if we want to understand it.
There are many false preachers and religions today professing that we can ignore "The Law" which is the 10 Commandments, and live in sin, and as long as you believe in Jesus Christ it is ok.
If it was this easy....we would all go to heaven, and we know this is not true, because Jesus said that few people will get to heaven.
We need to believe in God, his Son Jesus Christ and do our very best to refrain from sin and follow God's Commandments.

Christ came to fulfill the law, not destroy it. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.-- Matthew 5:17, 18. As Jesus said, the law will not pass away. We are commanded by Him to keep His commandments (The same 10 Moses brought down from Mount Sinai). "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them."-- Matthew 14:21
To wit. The Israelites kept the law without option, really. The Christian keeps the law because he loves Christ.
"That no man should glory in his presence."
For though we are as grass which the winds drives away, we still find a way to be boastful and proud, high and mighty of ourselves. And forgetting to give God the Glory first.
Yet God's still busy caring for us. What is man that God is mindful of us?
Can our presence bring healing or deliverance?
How about peace of mind?
Were we even able to be born of our own free will?
When Moses went to visit God on the Mount to receive the commandments of God, he was expecting to be in the presence of God. What he did not know was that going into the presence of the Lord would allow him to receive the Glory of the Lord.
When God's Glory is shown on and through His children there is no need to boast or to act mighty. God's Glory will draw men unto Him. In this regard, lets be prepared to work and help others to understand that to glory in self is to glory in vain. For what you glory in will last for only a moment.
However, if you glory in the Lord the same will last forevermore.
*Made from dust... The body will return there.
*Breath of life given... Can be taken away in a second and even less.
*Tears of JOY.... Can be turned into mourner all too soon
Do not make yourself an idol to yourself. Serve the Lord and He will direct your Path.

what is the testimony of Christ.
It must be recognized by someone for what it is . and i believe its more than just a Name..it must have something to do with his character.
The scripture tells us its enough for a servant to be as his master ...
I believe that the testimony of Christ is how he lived what he did and how he did it. and that testimony is the same for us for we are to abide in Christ and manifest his life in ourselves
effectively homeless. Apparently they must have lived with the believers a day or two here and there. They must have gone out two together... two men together and two women together.
Does anyone know if such a way still goes on like that today?
