7:3 Let not married persons fancy that there is any perfection in living with each other, as if they were unmarried. The debt - This ancient reading seems far more natural than the common one.

    Let the husband render to his wife due benevolence, and likewise the wife to the husband. Marriage needs love, and encouragement. Only come apart, for time to fast and pray, then come together again less you be tempted. Praise God for marriage, and it works well when we obey the guidelines laid down in the scriptures.
  • Let the man treat his wife kindly and charitably,
    And let the wife treat the husband kindly and
    Charitably. This says they should give each
    Other all due love and respect.
