Becoming a woman of God begins with making a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can saves as from every situations. He is the one who can give us the strength to change.
When I joined Faith Encounter that was a year ago, a verse that keeps on reminding of how to live as being saved from darkness to light by the Holy Spirit. Second Corinthians 5:17 reminds me when I received Jesus Christ in my heart as my personal savior. My life began to change from that moment on, I can see the every changes of my life, and years since then have been so exciting adventure of my life. I could say that it hasn't always been easy. Accepting the fact that you have totally change is by given up all of those darkest side of yours, like bitterness, anger, fear, hatred, resentment and self-control. Not just once I've tried to give up those but many times I've had to back up and to start over a new life and asking God to take control of my life and show me His way to live.
My hearts desire for so long is to change, not only in outward appearance but also in my inner personality, emotionally and spiritually. As times goes by, while walking and living in a godly life, I can see how hard it is, persecutions is always there. Since then I realized that God really needs my cooperation in every situation for me not to feel the hardship but considering the situation as a grace from God. I just learned that in every hearts desire, God will grant all of those if that could give glory into His name. As I live my life following Gods word, it doesn't seem too difficult for me, but living a life which is impossible. That when I've learned from this verse, “Nothing is impossible with God”.
He has guided me through times of pain, and joy, so many struggles and those trials are His way to mold me into a better person He wants me to be. And how rewarding it has been to see the spirit of godliness take root and grow in my life now. I give thanks and praise for all His goodness to me over the year. Growing in godliness is a lifelong process. Though it takes time, God is always there to guide me throughout the times and make every impossible thing into possible.
Now I can see the changes of my life of how God works through the pain and joy that He gave to me for the first time.
I am happy and being contented by choosing the most important decisions of my life, of course, the decision to follow the Lord. This decision is not a one time declaration, but a daily determination to follow Jesus above all.
