Testimony: Shaken Back To Life.

Angela's testimony "Shaken Back To Life." on 9/20/2016, 11:54pm...

My name is Angela B and I am from Southern Africa. Im about to reveal a miracle that took place in my life 2 years ago, infact i was on the verge of death and God saved me in a way i could never imagine. I was in my late 20s,a single mom, new employee at work . I had everything going for me but I still felt empty. I had just separated with the father of my child and i yearned for marriage. At 28 I felt that time was no longer on my side and i longed for a long time commitment. To tell the truth, i did not know Jesus then. I prayed seldomly and i hardly ever went to church. Two months into new job, i started to go out on dates with my Manager who was married with two kids at the time.At first I didnt take it seriously, I just wanted to rid myself of the loneliness i felt and I knew that he would not leave his wife for me ,i didnt want him to but
all that changed when i fell inlove with him. We enbarked on a serious love affair and even though i would feel guilty about it, it still felt great to be cherished and have someone tell me that they loved me. I stared having ideas that maybe him and I could actually become husband and wife and thats when the troubles began. With a new desire to have him all to myself I began demanding that he leave his marriage. I managed to get his wife's number and told her everything. Chaos erupted. It had come to a point where he had to chose between me and his wife. Naturally, he chose the mother of his kids . My world was shattered and i was in a very dark place, I cant even begin to describe the pain I was feeling .My collegues started gossiping about what happened and i was embarrased. I couldnt face going to work anymore. It hit me that what I had done was wrong, i felt ashamed for having loved a married man and I didnt know who I was or what I stood for. I then decided to resign thinking that i would feel better but nothing changed, the pain was still too much to bare. On the Morning of the 5th of August 2014,I had collected around a 100 different pills that i intended to drink. It was my birthday and I remember thinking to myself that I was better off dead, I would be doing everyone a favour, surely my daughter deserved a better mom. I prepared a long glass of water and had the pills in my hand. My life flashed before me as i began taking the pills one by one. Then, after having taken around 12 pills or so, the earth shook, literally. I was sitting on the bed, crying, and taking another pill when i felt my bed move. I stopped for a moment and thought maybe I was hallucinating. I ignored the moving bed and tried to take another pill but the shakings became even more apparent and agressive. i stood up and went to the kitchen. When i got there i realised it wasnt only the bed moving but all the furniture. It was an earthquake. I turned on the radio and heard an announcement confirming that an earthquake had struck. everything took a major turnaround after that event, I completely forgot that i wanted to take my life. I then disposed the rest of the pills and pulled myself together. to me, this wasnt just an earthquake. I believe it was God speaking to me, reprimanding me and reminding me that i still had a purpose and a life worth living. God had just saved my life that day. I was so amazed and overwhelmed with what had happened , i decided to go to church on the coming sunday. During the service, there was a lady who gave a testimony similar to what i had beeb through. infact, it felt as though she was describing me. I saw myself in her and at that moment I know that it was Jesus talking to me. I then stood up, went to the front to be babtised and I received Jesus as my saviour. The emotion and joy i felt that very moment is indescribable. I was the happiest i had ever been in mylife. Suddenly my life had meaning. I was a child of God and I was so loved by him. I have never looked back ever since and I thank Jesus for blessing me.
