I am 32years old and when my parents passed away in 1998,there was emptiness inside my heart, I had no peace, I had no happiness and joy, I used to be attacked by limitations and hardships I started drinking alcohol with different friends and people, moving around with all sorts of friends I was going to all sorts of night clubs and bars, my house was a party house my friends came with all sorts of women and girlfriends in my mind I had it all, every weekend was a drinking week, I had a very huge cooler box in the trunk of my car and everyone knew that they would find some alcohol, whiskey, beer and all sorts of alcohol, in my heart I always felt a closeness to church and the things of God but inside my heart I was cold with hurt, emptiness and bitterness.
Today I stand here to declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, one day when we were on trip my friends invited me to their church I went 3 times and the next week I went to some church I used to attend to long back and the pastor was a humble, calm man and I realized that normal people attend church, the first months I attended church while was I was drinking alcohol and I had a girlfriend but Jesus Christ was working inside of me and the Holy Spirit nurturing me every day one day when I was from drinking the policeman caught me and the money that was inside my car was my tithe money and the police charged me the exact money that was my tithe money and I had to pay them and from that day I told God that I was not going to drink alcohol.
I dropped alcohol and was still left with a girlfriend that I was sleeping with and one day was one day,the pastor preached and when I left church I sent my girlfriend saying “it is over in the name of Jesus Christ” and up to today I have never been with a woman I am awaiting marriage.
I would love to encourage those that are under bondages of alcohol, drugs, phornication that there is a healer, a redeemer and His name is Jesus Christ, it is 2 years and I haven’t touched alcohol and have been living a single life,I have peace in my heart for I know Jesus Christ is my Father.
