It was the hippie era. In 1971 I was fed up with urban living. So I left my New York City apartment in Manhattan and hitch-hiked cross country headed for Alaska. Along the way I was picked up by someone who drove an old step-down mail truck. After sometime elapsed the next thing I know I was tumbling over and over due to a left rear tire blowout we had received. I looked at my hand and noticed a small scratch. Then I looked at the driver and he had his cheek cashed in. I shouted out God why did you save me? Then I pondered thinking how come I get a very small scratch and nobody else is seriously hurt.This happened in a small town in Nebraska. When I arrived in Kirby, Oregon, a born again Christian told me to go see a movie at a church in the nearby town of Grants Pass. He told me it was a movie of Jesus Christ coming back and how he got saved and came to Jesus. He said the film moved him to tears. So I saw the movie and it moved me to tears,also. After hearing a gospel message of salvation I gave my life to Christ. Now I am an evangelist with an evangelistic ministry making Jesus known and equipping the body of Christ to rescue lost souls for the Kingdom of God.
