Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I praise the lord for giving this wonderful opportunity to share my testimony with you. I pray that this testimony would bring great blessings to you.
After one and half year of my stay in Sweden on a blessed day, 23rd August 2012 I met a spiritual Indian Christian man, who later on became my friend. Many a times I was moved by his firm faith and enormous love towards his God. I have seen my parent’s too worshiping God but when it comes to love, I can say that Hindus hearts are always void. We have always taught to pray for materialistic things that is how we did all these years. But we never loved the God. I have seen him with great zeal attending all the meetings of the week. I was also touched by the way he moved on with compassions on hearing troubles of other people who are nowhere related to him. I have seen him praying for others which we Hindu’s never did it. I didn’t understand why someone has to pray for others. On 31st December 2012 night when all my friends were held in parties. He was the only one among my friends who was held in church spending time in prayers. Indeed all these observations were kept to me and it started disturbing my heart.
Days passed by almost 11 months. It was time for me to return to India. I was carrying many questions in my mind, with troubled heart, sleepless nights. Like any other youngster I started searching for my answers in Google, ended up distress because I found that each one has their own believes and faith, couldn't convince me. The time for return to India was almost nearer, hardly few days left.
Keeping in mind my friends strong faith and love towards his god, the foundation laid by my parents. Sweden an atheist country but still considered being the most honest, peaceful countries of the world where as in my country, India people worship many deities, celebrate many festivals but still it is considered being one of the corrupted, insecure countries of the world. I doubted about the real existence of the God. Finally I decided to not to depend on any human being for any of my answer and to ask the God directly. Desperately I went to pray in a lonely place.
My 1st prayer:
“God, My heart is very troubled. I don’t know why and how I got so many doubts about the existence of you. If there is anyone in this open place listening to me please answer to my prayers. I am at the end of my days in Sweden. I don’t want to return back to India without getting answers to my questions. God please hurry up, I have very less time. I want to know the creator of the Universe; my prayers are not to Allah, not to Jesus, not to any of the Hindu Gods. Please reveal yourself to me.
Likewise I prayed for two days and it rained on third day. I decided to give up my prayer on third day because of heavy rain and took steps back to home. Suddenly my spirit said,” Go and pray just as you did earlier”. I went and kneel down to pray as I finished the prayer I noticed that it rained all around me but not a single drop of water on me. I was surprised! Sitting there I watched rain all around me but not a single drop of water on me. It was miracle. I understood that God was trying to convey some message to me. With determination I prayed for next 4 days it was like this,
My 2nd prayer:
“God I am not so holy to ask you to come and to reveal yourself to me directly. Many people say that Gods words are found in Holy Scripture like Koran, Bible, Bhagwat Geeta. First of all I don't know where your words are than how can I follow a particular book. But if you will send some person to handover a particular book to me. I will believe and consider that as your word and I will follow it”.
It's a miracle and all praises to God that he heard my prayers.
After four days on Aug 24th 2013. My same old friend sends a Bible to my email and said, “This is word of God”. I was shocked because my prayers were kept in secret only between me and God. I didn't share about it to anyone. I know him for a year but he never lend a bible to me. I was waiting for someone else but never ever thought that God will use my very own friend. How greatly God has worked in each one of our lives. His plans are not our Plans.
I returned to India on Sep 9th 2013.
This is how my Journey started towards knowing real God. After that for next 9 months I asked God to clarify me about various other questions that were revolving in my mind. Such as, existence of various other religions, Hindu practices, about earth, heaven, how Evil spirits existed, about karma of Hindu's concepts, reincarnation, etc. Slowly through various ways God answered all my questions. From the time I received Bible as word of God it almost took 9 months to accept him as the only real God.
All thanks and praises to God he was never got annoyed to answer my silly questions. Gave me knowledge and wisdom to understand him. He revealed himself to me. He has changed me.
Now I accept Jesus as my LORD and my SAVIOR.
