Before I share my testimony of how grateful I am to be God’s daughter have Him in my life, I'd like to introduce myself first. My name is Jonah.
I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. Since I was a little girl, my mom has taught me about God. She brings me to church every Sunday. She also lets me join children's Sunday school while she ushers. That goes on for years until my mom decided to go to Canada when I was 12, after I graduated in elementary.
I transferred in Quezon province with my grandma. There, I failed to attend the service every Sunday, like I only go to church every other Sunday or once a month until I did not notice that I do not come to church anymore. That goes on for four long years. Peer pressure got into me during my high school life. I drew away from Him little by little.
It is hard to admit but I know deep in my heart that my personal relationship with God had been unstable. That time, I felt that I am standing on a shaky, unstable ground but my little faith still holds on.
I went back to Manila for college. I started attending Sunday service again with my sister. And I found myself coming back to Him with His gracious help and guidance.
As a Christian, I want to my spiritual life to grow. I want to go beyond following Him. I want to start serving Him. God answered my prayers by opening His door through accepting me in our Music Ministry audition. I hold on His words in Philippians 4:13 that says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
