I was born in Marion Va. At age 11 I went to the Baptist church and made a profession of faith, I did not get saved till I was 46 years old I Had went through a divorce and moved to another State,, and married again . I was smoking three packs of Cigarettes a day, I went a church with a cousin and heard the Gospel preached And went home that night and had a bad dream I was afraid I would die and go to hell if I did not quit smoking, So the next Sunday I went to church and the preacher come to my home after the service was over, and showed me how I could be saved. I had l Had been in the catholic church for twenty years and raised my three children there. So after the preacher left I got up from my knees and went in to my kitchen and poured all the beer and liquor I had down the drain. and went to church that night and was baptized. When I got home from church just before I went to bed ,I GOT ON MY KNEES TO PRAY, I laid my cigarettes on the night stand. and prayed that God would take the desire for them from me. I woke next morning and never had a desire for them since nor for a drink of liquor. That has been Forty three years ago. I have studied the King James and tried by my ability to live by it. I have ( children and most all are saved an serving the Lord is some church, My grand children are all so living for the lord two of my grand daughters married preachers. I have learned in 43 years that JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW, BECAUSE THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO. by the faith I have in God and His Son, I will serve him all of my life. I am now 88 years old and still get around fairly good , yo God be the Glory always and forever.
