Some time ago, God called me to do more than I was comfortable with and it took me longer than it should have to take responsibility for what He had tasked me with, and by the time I realized it, I think it was too late. I thought I'd fallen away somewhat and that because of that, God wouldn't use me again. Sure enough, though, on the bus for a school trip one of my friends and I were talking about church and another friend was caught in the crossfire of our conversation (we'll call him John). John goes to church but not one that spends much time teaching the youth about the real meat of Christianity, and John wants to learn. Since then, I've been talking to John about the story of Jesus and he's been reading scriptures. Even better, he's been excited to read scriptures! Last night I said he should pray before bed and just have a conversation with God. John told me today that for the first time ever, he felt like someone was right beside him listening to everything he was saying. I've been praying for him ever since he first started asking questions, and I'm so thankful that God put someone along his path. It's amazing and wonderful and beautiful. It's not so much my own testimony as my friend's, but I couldn't contain how happy I am that God reached out to my friend, and he even thought to make me a part of it. I'm so thankful :) God is good.
