Annie Iteata's testimony "God Listens To Our Prayers" on 11/08/2014, 3:37am...
It was in September 2012 when I received a mail from my cousin. She told me that our Grandma was in the hospital. She had diabetes and but now it was getting worse. The doctor said she was going to die sometimes that week. Her kidney was bad. They can't save her anymore. It was too late for them to save her. They can only give her pills to help her ease the pain she's having. I cried bitterly that night when I read the mail. I was in Fiji and they were in Kiritimati (Christmas) Island. I couldn't do anything except pray. I went to the corner of the living room and cried while praying. I told God that I was angry with the doctor. He said my grandma is going to die and I hate him for saying that because he is not God. Who is he to say that? "You brought us here to Earth and Only You that can take our life away! Just because everything this doctor said to his patient always come true doesn't mean what he said about my grandma will come true too. I believe in you Lord." I also asked God to extend my grandmother's life so that I could prove it to this doctor that he knows nothing about life! The next day I called my grandma. We both cried on the phone. Mommy and Papa were there sitting beside me too. They cried too when they heard her voice. It's true that she was dying. I told her to wait for us. I even told her not to believe what the doctor said about her going to die sometimes that night or tomorrow. "He is not God. Who is he to say such things? God is the one that gave us life. Only Him that can take away our life. Only God can say 'You are going to die today!' NOT THE DOCTOR!"... Grandma agreed and said she'll pray too and asked the Lord to allow us to meet one more time before she left. So, every night I prayed and asked God to protect her and helped her with her pain. I also asked the Lord to allow us to meet one more time before he takes her away because I wanted to give her massage, bathe her, feed her etc. during those moments.I am proud to tell my brothers and Sisters that God listened to our prayers. God extended my Grandma's life to December. We arrived in Kiritimati (Christmas) Island in November 28th 2014 and Grandma was still there in the hospital waiting for us. In December 5th 2012, my brother in law came back from Tarawa Island. When everyone were there on the same Island, God took her and let her rest in peace On December 7th 2012. I thank God for those 9 days I spent with my Grandma. 9 days may be few but to me those 9 days were worthwhile. It gave me a chance to be with my Grandma, bathe her, feed her, took care of her during her last few days on Earth... Brothers and Sisters, Never give up on God. He listens to our Prayers every day. He is always there during those difficult moments. Trust in Him with all your heart. Let him live in your heart. God bless you all
