Testimony: God Is Faithful

I really was raised up in a Christian household and I knew God is real but I was never really serious about spending time with him. So I grew up and got married to my high school sweetheart and I thought life would definitely get better at that point-boy was I wrong.
Straight after our engagement my mother passed away and that threw me into depression, it affected my marriage and the cloud of infidelity came into my marriage and that was not only that it became emotionally and physically abusive for over 5 years.
Then one day I just woke up and started listening to sermons on youtube, that is when I realised I had to change my mind and stop blaming everyone else around me for things I can solve. You know most times as human beings we tend to want to blame everyone else for things we actually can solve. God has done everything, it's up to you to read it for yourself and practise it in your life. I started spending time with God, reading books and renewing my mind and all I can say is I am at peace. A peace that truly surpasses all understanding, since I am going through a divorce, but I just cannot cry any more because I know God is in control. Moreover, God has been showing me his grace through amazing ways and I now have the courage to witness to friends and tell them to wait on God above every situation that they face in their lives.
I also had been in a situation where I couldn't look after myself financially but God is truly amazing, I am starting part-time job this week and balancing it with my studies and everyday I remind myself that(tell the reader(s) the key highlights of
