I just want to share a testimony of how God delivered me from the snare of the devil. One day I gave an elderly woman a lift in my car. I was just leaving a grocery store when she stopped me and asked for a lift. I was with a friend and something in me said no, but I said to myself, why not. She gave me a note equivalent to the bus fare she would have paid when using public transport as a way of saying thanking you, I told my friend that I didn't feel OK accepting the money, I gave it back to her to pass it back to the old lady, but I guess she forgot as we were busy with a conversation. We parted ways with this woman when she got to the bus station.
In the evening I needed to buy something from a store and when I checked my wallet, the USD400 I had in my wallet was gone. I called my friend as I couldn't believe what was happening, she told me that her money also was missing in her wallet, then we immediately knew that the old woman was responsible. As I was saved, I began to pray and God revealed names of people who were behind all these. My life was never the same following this incident. I was tormented by evil spirits. I could not pray anymore when I wanted to, I felt like I was not present in my body, I began to hear voices in my head. I cried a lot as I was constantly feeling depressed. It was not easy to explain this to people as it was difficult to describe, sometimes I would feel like screaming for help, because I needed help. I would cry until I felt my tears had gone dry.
I had just lost my job a year ago, but God had given me good business ideas, some of which were already working. One time one of the ladies who was revealed in my prayer called me to tell me that she heard that I was planning to get into certain business ventures and she would like to partner with me. I was just surprised that she knew all about the business ideas as I never told anybody. I refused to partner with her. As if that was not enough, she called again to say that there was a mirror picture of myself in her office, I didn't really understand this. Following that, my businesses began to crush, everything came to a stand still. I had no money, I got into debt, I just felt like the world had tumbled down on me. Suicides thoughts came in, however something in me was fighting. Whenever I thought of sharing this experiences with my Pastor, voices would tell me He would not be able to help me. This went on for about 13 months. I had lost so much weight.
One good Sunday when I was in church, Pastor prophesied about someone who had been tormented by evil spirit, that God wants to deliver that person, for the first time I went to the alter and got prayed for. Afterwards, I felt something lifting off my head and heart. My head began to clear and I felt a sense of relief. I went job searching and two months down the line I passed the first interview and was requested to start immediately.
God is always there in our tribulations. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them out of them all. He has promised that When we go through fire, we will not burn, and when we go through high waters we will not drown. Indeed God delivers us from all our troubles. Jesus has overcome the world, and we have victory through Him. I love my God and will continue to serve him.
