15:13 Now the God of hope - A glorious title of God, but till now unknown to the heathens; for their goddess Hope, like their other idols, was nothing; whose temple at Rome was burned by lightning. It was, indeed, built again not long after, but was again burned to the ground.

Ro 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace. Paul has quoted from Isaiah, "In him shall the Gentiles trust" (Ro 15:12), and follows it by a prayer that the God who has given them the blessed hope may fill them with joy and peace, so that they may abound in hope. The hope we have in Christ is the source of a great part of our joy.

"Now the God of hope...". The Bible says that faith is the substance of things "hoped" for, the evidence of things not seen. First of all you must "know" the God of hope and have faith in him that sent him. "...fill you with all joy and peace in believing...", for God to fill you, you must be emptied! New wine can't be put in old wineskins. You must empty out of sin and allow God’s blood wash them all away. Once you are empty God can fill you. “..that you may abound in hope...". That word abound means to be great in number or to be fully supplied. When coming to Him and fully surrendering and allowing him to Fill you, your every need will be supplied by your faith in God. Notice that the Bible tells us that all of our needs will be met according to his riches in Glory. God knows what we need and he knows when we need it. Your wants may never be met, but all of your needs will be right on time! God's never late! "...through the power of the Holy Ghost." What is the Holy Ghost? The Holy Ghost is the spirit of the living God. It is a teacher! A leader! It will lead you and guide you in to all the truth! All the things that are discussed in this passage are done by faith, full surrender, and the power of the spirit of the holy one!
