Forever I want to know that joyful sound, O Lord.

Those who know the joyful shouting will be blessed to have God's favor shine upon them.

The joyful sound is not in knowing Jesus is coming He is already here. This is why we cannot enjoy the fullness of God. Our Father's prayer says on earth as it is in heaven. To have Him is heaven and without Him is sorrow. John 10:10 says He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. When Jesus was on earth those who believed were neither sick nor hungry His presence is Joy NOW

JEHOVAH GANAN The Lord Our Defense. The Hebrew word translated defense in Psalm 89:18 is translated shield. The Shield of Faith:Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one What is our shield of faith? Faith is our knowledge of the Word of God. You have a protective shield that will stop the Devil and quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. Its strength is related to our trust and obedience to the Most High God.

That God would set "his throne as the days of heaven " can refer to no one but King Jesus. This and many other magisterial phrases mark this as a Messianic Psalm. But for the simple believer it is enough to know that every promise God makes to us will be kept. In spite of our failings, He knows that we are but dust the LORD will never leave us or forsake us.
