I WOKE THIS MORNING... AND THE FIRST 12 WORDS OF PSALM 23 5 CAME TO MY MIND. SO I WENT TO THE COMPUTER AND FOUND THEM IN PSALM 23, WHICH I HAVE READ MANY MANY TIMES, AND HAVE QUOTED MANY TIMES. SATAN HAS A WAY OF STEALING THE WORD, AND ALSO WHERE IT IS WRITTEN. JESUS, DURING THE WILDERNESS TEST... ALWAYS QUOTED THE WORD TO SATAN, AND SATAN WOULD FLEE EACH TIME. JESUS SAID "IT IS WRITTEN.... " EACH TIME. AS I READ FROM ONE PERSON 'S RESPONSE ON THIS PSALM.... ABOUT HOW HIS THOUGHTS CAUSE HIM TO BE UPSET. JESUS SAID IN HIS WORD... WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST BLOOD AND FLESH, BUT AGAINST POWERS OF DARKNESS... ".. AND IT IS WRITTEN... EPHESIANS 5 16 YOU WILL BE ABLE TO QUENCH ALL THE FLAMIING DARTS OF THE EVIL ONE " THOSE THOUGHTS THAT COME INTO YOUR MIND, THOSE THOUGHTS OF CONDEMNATION, ETC, ARE FROM THE ENEMY. SATAN WANTS YOU TO FOOL YOU TO BELIEVE IT IS YOU, NOT THE FIREY DARTS OF THE ENEMY. ITS IS WRITTEN..... AMEN AND AMEN!!!

Every living being has enemies. God knows this that 's why he made these promise, trust and obey he will surely do what he says. After all he 's not a man that he should lie.

He prepares a table for me " in the presence of my enemies ".This tells us that God knew that we will have enemies spiritual and otherwise , so it shouldn 't take us by surprise, God made provision to counter that, since He is God who is all knowing and God of Mercy. So,lets confront our enemies with the right attitude not fear, for we know that fear is not our portion but confidence is. The table will be prepared right on the face of our enemies,God said it, and He is no man that He can lie. It shall be done,

God is so awesome, gracious and merciful (He) God allows us to come to the throne room of "Mercy and Grace" even when we make mistakes and then we can always go back to him with a repentent heart. And after all is said and done (He) God is so forgiving He still will prepare a table for us in fromt of our enemies.

As many times as I have read this verse I had never really noticed the surreal image of eating a feast in front of my enemies. Certainly the most wicked of all my enemies are my own thoughts, the things I say to myself about me. None of my enemies is more cruel to me than I am to myself. I have struggled with drug addiction, alcholism and mental health problems all my life God saved me from booze and drugs many years ago. But I continue to be my own "worst enemy" with my repetitive, recurring thoughts. God gives me the confidence to not only "face" my fearful, wicked thoughts but indeed to sit face to face with them at a banquet table and enjoy the feast God has prepared for me. He not only feeds me but delivers me, from my enemies, from myself.

We are serving the GOD of abundance.

23:5 ".....my cup runneth over" : This is Davids attitude as to how God takes care of him, and should also be ours, ....God not only knows our needs, he more than supplies them. This is also a referrence to hospitality in Davids time, if a guest sat at the table for a while with an emty cup, it was time to go, if your cup was full, it meant you were welcome to stay, if it ran over, it meant you were more than welcome!
That is Gods attitude about us, we are more than welcome to come boldly before his throne, to pray for special requests, but our basic needs are more than met!, they "runneth over", the way and everything we need has already been prepared ahead of time!
