Discussion for Psalms 118

  • Joseph Kollie
It is a Psalm of consolation. My favorite verse in this chapter is 8. When family and friends desert us, the Lord is always there for us. "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Alas! How many times I have failed to trust the Lord in trying circumstances! May God help us.

The goodness of God is overwhelming. Words do not suffice to express its impression upon us. Let us therefore add our way of life to the expression of our praise for him. Let us support those who agree with the LORD, and oppose those who disagree with him.
