If you need knowledge in the Lord this is the book for you

Michael C.'s comment on 8/24/2016, 2:42pm...

Hi, Lisa; There are wonderful prayers in the Bible, for us to know what we should ask for, and how; Psalm 119 (e.g.) and the Epistles are a good place to start. As we read, and pray about what we read, we gain understanding. He gave us this whole big Bible, full of knowledge and understanding, for all we need to know in this life; and to prepare ourselves for meeting Him, for the day of eternity.

Michael C.'s comment on 8/14/2016, 12:44pm...

Dear Valarie - The Lord has called you by name, and chosen you for Salvation. There are many prayers in the Bible; they were written for us to learn how to pray. Psalm 119 has great prayers for understanding, as also the Epistles of Paul; (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians). Feed on the Scriptures; "Write them down, pray them in, and work them out!" We live by every word of God. He gives us life.

Isaac, the Lord Jesus loves you and He has many things to show you.We understand only by His Spirit, which inspired the holy Prophets and Apostles to write the Bible. That's why we need the Holy Spirit, to give us understanding and lead us in walking in the truth.God teaches us knowledge and causes us to grow little by little over time and by doing all He says. Get to know your Bible

Debra Ousley's comment on 8/01/2016, 1:16pm...

Proverbs is truly a book of wisdom.

Bro WIlliam's comment on 7/24/2016, 11:54am...

No man can teach you except by the Holy Ghost. But beware of false brothers and avoid them. You need not that any man teach you because the Anointing which is the Holy Ghost teaches all men to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. To live soberly and righteous in this adulterous and perverse generation. Flee fornication. Pluck out the eye beholding abominations. Cut off supplies to fulfill your lust

Thank God for sending His Son Jesus Christ for our sins and giving us His words that we can obtain the knowledge and understanding of His words to live our daily lives and will not stray from His laws. He Loves us so much , He gave His life for us . What more do we want to know how much He loves us, and He still give us His words and Laws to live our live by.

Catherine's comment on 5/09/2016, 6:52am...

I believe ultimately it doesn't really matter what I think/ don't think about Proverbs. What ultimately matters is God's intention purpose in writing it and plans then my take away and the way I implement it matters most

Lilian's comment on 4/07/2016, 1:02am...

For God is love and his words is our life. Jesus is faithful for those who are diligently seeking him He will pour out his knowledge and will help us to understand his words. I believe the bible was provided for us to believe not to figure out. John1.1 In the beginning there was a word and the word was with God and the word was God. Amen how loving Jesus for giving his blood and life for us.

Ulysses McCall's comment on 3/19/2016, 5:16am...

Proverbs is the book for daily living. A book that should be read everyday for daily living that day. I thank God for the wisdom of Solomon to help me learn to obey God. For we know that our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ is our wisdom of God for us. Amen.

Norm's comment on 3/02/2016, 7:36pm...

The word 'apocrypha' means 'hidden.' -KJV Bible Team Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

JP's comment on 1/19/2016, 2:18pm...

Hi Sheila. I very much feel like you, that there is so much to scripture it's difficult to know where to begin! However I think putting aside time for Holy Bible study is most worthwhile and you're doing exactly the right thing. I'd like to recommend you start with any of the four gospel books and perhaps a part of the OT that's fairly easy going, like Ecclesiates for example. May God bless you!

Lucinda Palestrant's comment on 1/11/2016, 3:09pm...

A true believer obeys out of "Fear of the Lord." Without the Fear of the Lord there is no love.
Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, also found in the book of Psalms. If you do not have Fear of the Lord, you have no Godly wisdom. God is wisdom.

Veegee's comment on 1/10/2016, 4:20pm...

I read the statements and I would like to add a little clarity to some. God does want His children to fear Him. in a manner that you are aware of His power. However, He wants His children to obey out of love. Proverb gives us steps to take that leads to sound wisdom from on High. Veegee

Glenda Fay Rhames's comment on 1/10/2016, 10:09am...

God is a God that wants us to love Him and not fear Him.Just like man's law you must obey. With disobedience comes consequences.God want us to love and obey him. That was the reason God came in the form of man, Jesus Christ to give us an example that we can see and feel. I don't fear God but I do fear getting on His bad side.I don't fear the police either. Bad side not for me. My Father is for me!

RTM girl's comment on 1/09/2016, 1:30pm...

Our God is a holy God-Consuming fire-Creator of all things-He killeth and Maketh alive- The First and the last-Provider-Great King! Shall we not fear before him? Knowing his statues and commandments we ought to fear enough to do them. For those who don't wish to learn of God and his statutes refuse wisdom and love simplicity. In their time of trouble they are w/o comfort and remedy!
