Discussion for Proverbs 18

18- Casting lots is a method to settle things, such as today we can draw straws. Even Kings (might men) in those days used it. 19- An offend brother is harder to reach (break thru to like defenses of a city) because they put up a defense around them like bars.

It sounds like an offence could be big enough to build walls between brothers. Once this happens the restoration is not easy but could perhaps be possible with the Lord's help. I believe to break downs walls may require authentic repentance and seeking forgiveness. Restitution may be a necessary step. Deep soul searching and genuine desire to be a godly person may be required.

    It tells you about bad
  • Carolyn Burley for verse 21
I believe that this means as the Bible says you shall have whatsoever you sayeth. If you speak sickness and disease that is what you will have. Words like my head is killing me, denotes death. Word like by his stripes I am healed of all disease and afflictions brings life and health.
  • Kendall for verse 21
I feel it means speak up. When god speaks within in US.. we must then speak out. Example being knowing right from wrong and not only choosing right for yourself, but also guiding others to do right as well, whereas they might not if you don 't use the power of the tongue.
