George Hartwell's comment on 5/24/2014, 5:56pm...

I had always understood that many christians believe that Mary was always a virgin. Verses 24 and 25 seem to imply that she and Joseph "came together " after Jesus was born. Could anyone clarify this point for me, please? Thanks.

George Hartwell's comment on 5/23/2014, 5:51pm...

I wonder why it is that we are given the genealogy that shows Joseph 's ancestors, but then we are told that Joseph is not Jesus ' father after all? Does this not make the genealogy meaningless?

FRANK's comment about verse 23 on 5/14/2014, 3:06pm...

JESUS CHRIST GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH!

Becky's comment on 5/14/2014, 2:32am...

Jesus Christ ordained Family, Matthew shows us he had a Family. The Gospel according to Matthew let 's us know that this is Matthews view. What Matthew saw, what he experienced and how he interpret it. This was the best ways to present Jesus ancestors to a Jewish audience of that time. Because a person 's family line proved his standing as one of Gods choose people being the Son of Abraham a descendant.

Mike's comment on 4/20/2014, 8:29am...

As to the blood line of Christ. I am more interested in the line of Mary, as Joseph is not the father. Where do we find the blood line of Mary? We know that Christ is of the House of David, so Mary must be too?

Rob Cavender's comment on 3/22/2014, 7:16pm...

Can anyone explain or reconcile the significant differences between the genealogy as presented by Matthew here and that presented by Luke in Chapter 3 They are in agreement from Abraham to David but after that they not only differ wildly but Luke offers many generations more

Resty's comment about verse 16 on 3/22/2014, 6:16am...

Every answer given by us remain speculation due to the lack of evidence the truth about the father of Joseph remain hidden and i believe there is definitely something behind the mystery So i can say we need to search more of truth ME too i want to know the answer but not anybody s opinion

Imagine if Jesus was not born There will not be enough lambs in this world to sacrifice for one man s sins alone He is the lamb of God that was sacrificed for our present past and future sins

Pat's comment on 2/07/2014, 10:07am...

God seems to like 7s. See verse 17.
Also according to Chuck Missler on youtube this geneology is full of sevens. I won't list them. I'm sure that you already know what they are.
But I find this strange/fascinating.

Lou pace's comment about verse 16 on 2/05/2014, 5:49pm...

Jesus did all what he did to let us free from sin and we have got nothing to give him back apart from sacrificing our lifes for him by making him our personal savior.

Jesus came into this world to save me from my sinful ways,God gave us his only son that he soever believed in him should not perish but have eternal life.l believe in him and l gave my life to him in repantance for he suffered for my sins.he was nailed on the cross because of our sins and indeed he came to this world to bear our sins

John w.'s comment about verse 21 on 1/24/2014, 4:48am...

The Lord's "shall's" surely came to pass. Mary's Son was born; Joseph named the child Jesus: and Jesus has/is saving His people from their sins. Blessed truths!
