Discussion for Matthew 6

Jesus wanted people to place their hope elsewhere rather than in materialistic things. He wanted them to rely on the Source of lasting riches—Jehovah God. And we should want to also rely on Jehovah God rather than things we can not trust.

Matthew 6 guides us in our relationship with Christ. God wants a personal relationship not for public display, but a personal relatinship with us. The things that we do should be done because of our love for God and not for public display. The world may see our good works but our good works should be done to glorify God

Its about what you do silently with your heart that counts not what you say ...

It only makes sense to look up to God's restraints concerning charity. Why blow one's own trumpet?

If only we could be committed to doing the right thing in disregard of recognition...

This chapter encourages us to wait for the most important thing: God's reward during the messiah's second coming.

The lord is great , if only people know that Jesus is the first they would not run after the things of the world because he has said " seek the kingdom of God first and every other things shall be added" but now a days people make things of the world first and Jesus the second option. May the lord forgive us all.
