People's Bible Notes for Matthew 25:21

Mt 25:21 I will make thee ruler over many things. (1) Observe here that it is God's talents that have made the ten talents. The fruitfulness of our work depends on what God has given us. (2) In God's government, promotion depends on fidelity. This is in a measure true, here and how; fulfillment of duty in a lower and lesser station is rewarded by the providence which bids us to go up higher. (3) Present duties are trials of character; God gives the talents that he may test and see who is worthy of a trust. (4) The trusts given here below, by our use of which are to show ourselves capable of receiving the crown above, Jesus calls "a few things". This is in contrast with the trusts we will enjoy in the heavenly kingdom.

Cosmos, we cannot be firm in the Lord with our might. He is strong we are weak. Talk to the Lord stating your problem. Tell Him you have to help me because I cannot do it. Tell Him, you have to do it. You have to make it work in me. He loves to cleanse in our inner man. He works in our spirits for our purification. Trust Him. He will do it! God Bless!

The 10 virgins ( I don't get the significance of the no.?) I went to M. Henry on this, but he was no help. To me the 'oil' is our praying EVERYDAY for the infilling of the Holy Ghost; to keep prayed up. The Spirit is the oil in our daily walk. I may be way off about this .................?

My sister you cannot do it alone/ is spiritual battle (KJV Eph. 6:11-17). Apostle Paul struggled with flesh (Romans 7:14-25) he said the good I want I do not do. He reassures (1.Cor:10:13) God will not allow more than you can bear. You must choose in the MOMENT of temptation for God to help (Matt. 10:19).

In today's time, I believe many have lost site of this one verse. Many people don't focus or can't focus on the end because they are so occupied with the current and the right now. This simple and yet powerful verse should always stay on the mind of the believers. The part that really gets me is when HE says you have been faithful ovr a "few" things. The question that comes to my mind is, Lord what are those few things that I may continue to abide in doing? Is it merely just doing what it takes to remain in your perfect will? Or is it just living holy and living completly by his words? I just wasnt to hear him say well done.
