The man in v. 12 is not Satan; The king called him "friend".Satan is not "friend". The man is someone who was not chosen; he did not have a wedding garment; the wedding is Christ and his church. The context of who the man is, is v.12,13, 14. V.14 For many are called, but few are chosen". God may call someone to righteousness, but then not chose them, they will be cast into outer darkness;hell.

Jesus is the son of the king(God the Father). The marriage is between him and the Church(Eph5:25). The privileged people who refused the invitation to the wedding are the Israelites. The Father therefore invited both good and bad guests (gentiles and pagans) to the table of wisdom(Prov.9) The man who had no wedding garment is the devil, the accuser. He went there purposely to accuse the brothers.
