People's Bible Notes for Matthew 18:25

Mt 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay. He had used his king's money and was not able to settle his accounts. He represents the sinner, who has no way to settle the debt of his sins. See Lu 7:42. His lord commanded him to be sold. An absolute king is represented, who could do according to his will with his servants. It was common, even until modern times, for persons to be sold for debt. In many nations the wife and children were involved in the hapless fate of the debtor.

I like what Mockingbird said; everytime i read this - i am reminded how our mouths can run wild and hurt or just be mis-understood. I had this experience of a 'loose' mouth just recently, but it was 'just' a mis-understanding; my Sis. in the Lord and I got it cleared up though.

Jesus is still in the business of finding lost souls and very soon no body would put up an excuse that nobody came looking for him when he was lost.so let the lost believe in his rescue business and make Jesus smile.

Praise the Lord for taking care of us and giving us love and mercy. It's only through his mercy that we are reunited with him, when you are lost in sin how sweet it is to be back in the arms of the Father. Amen

I believe that this passage is also talking about forgiveness and un forgiveness and I believe that this passage is also talking about what I say : I can have what I say : If I talk doubt and unbelief all day every day : that is what I get : Talk fear : That fear will come upon me : Talk Faith and Blessing all day everyday , not only on me but on all and everyone that I talk about. I will have to give an account of all that I speak on the day I stand before Jesus Christ . As well as every one else. No one will be left out on that day !!
