In the book mark chapter1 teaches me that God anwsers only those who come to him in firth. Just as the man who was unclean he asked the Lord God(JESUS) to clean him
lets come to him with humble life so that we may recieve his grace and love worth finding in JESUS name only the name above all names what a miracle is knowing our God.

This invitation recieved by eleven and rejected by one over 3000 years ago, is now a cry out to all of mankind, "Come, follow Me."
It is written, "What good is it for man to gain the whole world, and lose his soul."
This indeed is a certantie....JESUS IS COMING BACK TO GATHER UP THOSE WHO TOOK HIS INVITE.

How Jesus endured all devil's temptations in the desert. By knowledge and only by knowledge. Gospels are wonderful, one just have to read them carefully.GOD BLESS YOU
Erdu's comment about verse 13 on 2/23/2012, 11:13am...
Christ was subject to temptation immediately after his baptism; a reminder that our own baptism into Christ includes a baptism into HIS temptations. It is true that we will always have our trials; but, take heart when the wild beasts haunt you or Satan artfully draws you into sin. Take heart, because as a Christian you know that Jesus endured all temptations, without sin, and became our Savior at the cross, where he carried our sins and received the punishment that was reserved for us. In other words, believe the Good News (Gospel) and take heart: in Christ, your sins are forgiven.

This chapter also teaches that Jesus did not allow the fame of his miracles blind not to go back to God in prayer. He never requested for people's praise, but the miracle benefactors to go and show themselves to the priests as it was commanded as way to show thanks to God for any miracle received.

Chapter 1 of Mark reminds me of the sacrifices that John and the other disciples had to make in order to be a follower of Christ and to do his will. I can only imagine going about my days business and Jesus just randomly chooses me. I think that although it is a great thing to do the will of God, we as Christians need to be reminded that we will have to make sacrifices if we want to be closer to God. For every great cause that was fought for , there has had to be a sacrifice, Martin Luther King Jr. , president Obama, and many others have all had to sacrifice leading a quite , normal life for publicity and the "haters"(people that don't agree with your cause) opinions and efforts to defeat them.

Ithink mk 1 especially verse 8 is very important for every christian b/cos we need the power of the HOLY GHOST for work of evangelism.Itwas thru the Holy Ghost operating in Jesus that he was able to perform those signs n wonders with ease.

This again as does Jesus' other miracles show that he has power, dominion, and authority over all creation as God the Son.

Thy face in Mark chapter 1:2 refers to refer to us as individuals, and it can also refer to us as a group. I believe that it refers to everyone no matter who we are

As Y'SHUA seperated HIMSELF to spend HIS quiet time with HIS Beloved
FATHER! So we should constantly spend time with our Beloved
FATHER as we will grow into our relationship with GOD! For if we
don't know the ONE we serve! How will we ever bear Witness of HIM??

I was trying to find out what "face" referred to in Mk. 1:2. If "face" the face of Mark or the face of the Gentiles and especially the Romans. Or in other words, in the face of an individual or of a nation or larger group?
Joyce Jones's comment on 10/19/2010, 12:33am...
This is a powerful chapter for a person who has began to step away from sin and give his or her life over to the power of Jesus Christ. First you must decide to repent your sins. And once you decide to repent you shall become clean in God's eyes. How powerful is that? We all must make ourselves ready to recieve his word and obey and make ourselves clean in his words. I like to think of his words as soap, each time I read the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I can feel my sins melt away. Thank you God for showing us of your majesty. This is a beginners guide in the way to the throne.
Solo's comment on 10/18/2010, 3:52pm...
There are a few things I learned from this passage
1) Repentance: Both John and Jesus mentioned about repentance. It is importance for everyone in this world to take this firs step of repentance. To walk away from since and give their life to Jesus Christ.
2) Healing: Every one of us can be healed of any sickness through the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
The did a few things which we should follow. He CAME to JESUS CHRIST and KNELT and ASKED if you are WILLING HEAL me
He came with faith and had no doubt in his heart that Christ Jesus is going to heal him.
3) JESUS CHRIST our savior love all of us. HE is there waiting for us to come to HIM with everything. HE is WILLING to help you if you come to HIM and fully commit your life to HIM
Give your everything in the Hands of our LORD and let HIM look after you.
This my prayer when I wake up every morning.
LORD JESUS CHRIST I live my whole life and family into your mighty hands. Lead me, guide, bless me with EVERYTHING about me and my family............
Live everything in HIS hands and He will take care of you.
May the peace of our LORD be with you all

THESE CHAPTER CONFIRM TO US PEOPLE OF THESE NATURE HOW WONDERFUL, POWERFUL OUR HEAVENLY FATHER JESUS CHRIST IS TO OUR LIVES. WE NEED NOT TO RUN AROUND SEEKING HELP FROM ANYWAY BUT TRUST AND PRAISE HIM SHALL SET US FREE.

Jesus wants us to be fishers of men and sets the example of preaching the gospel with authority, casting out unclean spirits and healing the sick.In our time we have sinners that need repentance, sick and oppressed people that need healing and deliverance. May the Holy Ghost that we Christians are baptized by help us to fulfill this calling of being Jesus followers.
Bruce M. Devitt's comment on 9/14/2010, 8:02pm...
This chapter needs to be read along with Lev.-14- in order that you understand that Jesus is showing that the priests are not true to their office and duties as given thru moses in order that that be found true to the Lord God. Jesus should not have to heal the leper but of course he does , but by sending him to the priest he is in effect saying as if the priest cleansed him therby removing the cloak of there sinful nature .- he fires them - All must remember there is no office or duties given to priest by Jesus
