Knowing Jesus for ourselves is not all to our salvation,we are accountable for the salvation of our love ones.

Luke Chapter 16:16-31 The Rich Man and Lazarus
The Rich Man and Lazarus

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
The body return to the dust of the earth, but the spirit of man liveth. The born again Spirit liveth in Heaven and the unborn again spirit is bound in Torment or, Hell.

Besides...the dead is not allowed to communicate with the living without a body...that's why Lord Jesus the Christ had to have a body to communicate with and to us Salvation. And yes the Spirit of man continues to live and can see, but not communicate.

Now I believe that sometimes our Heavenly Holy Father will allow their works through the Holy Spirit to speak to us when we are troubled. Remember the old saying; I can't hear what you are saying for what you are doing... Sometimes what a person had done leaves a greater affect, or impression than their words.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
It is not about frightening one to accept CHRIST, for CHRIST died and risen and lives forever sitting at the right hand of our Heavenly Father on the Thorn in Heaven and has given to man His Free Will to choose... Salvation.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

StephendeRafael's comment on 6/21/2011, 12:38pm...

The story of Lazarus is the main parable in this chapter. The poor man who suffered in this world was given his reward for he did no evil to anyone. But the rich man fared sumptuously, feasting on worldly pleasures, never going beyond and therefore he had his reward in the desolation, and the abomination of this earthly place where greed, selfishness, self-indulgence, lechery, incontinence reign. But Abraham received the beggar into his bosom, into his Heart, where there is peace and faithfullness. And further states that the rich man's bretheren have Moses and the Prophets. They are suffient for they were the teachers of our High Priest, Jesus Christ, or The Christ, the Messiah, the First born of the Dead. Though he were resurected yet they will not believe. We must read the whole bible to get the whole truth.

JEMIMAH MWENDWA's comment on 6/13/2011, 3:07am...

Luke 16:18 Marriage should abide until the death separates the two because when one of the couple commits adultery should not get married to another person because he/she will be committing adultery so married people should be faithful to their partners knowing that marriage is a covenant which should not be broken.

ANN's comment on 2/08/2011, 5:06am...

When I begin to understood (with my limited knowledge) what Luke 16:27-31 was saying, I was confused. Because my Pastor taught me the dead can NOT come back and tell anyone anything. I said Pastor thats not true. He said are you calling the Bible a lie? I said no sir. I am going on my own experience. My father died when I was 12 or 13. I became rebellious and would not listen to my mother. I had a dream about my father - he was bigger than life. He was coming after me because I was being disobedient, he wanted me to straighten up. Believe me when I tell you - it worked.

Ben weaver's comment about verse 8 on 12/17/2010, 9:41pm...

I think Vs.8-11 is the conclusion of the last 2 stories. The story of the lost son seems to lack a finale like, both the lost sheep and the coin had;(likewise there is rejoicing in heaven). Although the prodical, was son and heir, he wasted his family's resources, whereas the steward shrewedly manipulated another mans goods for future security. Let us, as sons in the royal family, be diligent with this world's means to make friends for God to dwell in eternally. Jesus had said "he that receives you, recieves me, and...him that sent me". As we prove faithful with these earthly resources, our Lord can trust us with the kingdom riches we have inherited with Christ.

Sarein's comment on 11/23/2010, 9:54am...

That each person who received Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord and Savior must reach their love ones so that they will not experienced eternal life in Hell.. and our accountability will not be question.

Darrell's comment on 7/05/2010, 8:42pm...

Who's right? There are so many
Christians with just as many interpetations of the Bible. We need God sent revival. God Help US!!!

Kelley E.'s comment on 6/17/2010, 4:20pm...

This is no time (2010) to be wrong about whether there is a heaven and hell. What is true is that when a person truly surrenders their whole life over to Jesus, their eyes are undeniably Opened. To eat of the forbidden fruits of this world only blinded Adam and Eve, as it does any of us who go that route.

Bill's comment on 5/24/2010, 11:23pm...

Darren: There is most certainly a literal hell, more is taught in the bible about hell then heaven! Hell is no joke it is a literal place. You are right in saying that God doesnt send anyone to hell, its a choice the individual makes, people send themselves to hell.

Darren D's comment on 5/24/2010, 12:32pm...

I'm sorry if you took my comment the wrong way.
there is no hell as a place where our loving
god burns his children as a punishment for dis-
obedience.jesus was only giving an example in
luke 16:23 and I was trying to be funnie.

Bill's comment on 5/23/2010, 6:54pm...

Darren: Why would you want to see anyone in hell? I would think you would want to help people come to Jesus Christ and be saved instead of seeing anyone go to hell.

AKWUBA MADU's comment on 5/10/2010, 11:49am...

Darren D's comment on 3/17/2010, 1:43pm...
