People's Bible Notes for Luke 6:26

Lu 6:26 When all men shall speak well of you! Those who seek to be universally popular. Whoever does his duty will meet those who oppose him. Christ was reviled and slandered. These four woes are addressed to four classes: (1) Those who worship wealth; (2) those satisfied with their present life; (3) those who live for present enjoyment; (4) those whose aim is human praise and adulation.

Verse 22... SAKE-for the purpose of; in the interest of; in order to achieve or preserve.
Christians will be called evil by the followers of the Antichrist, Son of Man, because that is in order to achieve war and take what belongs to Christians, their lives, beliefs and land, like a thief in the night.
  • Irene to Nick on Luke 6
the gist of Luke 6 is - "....... that the som of man is Lord also of the Sabbath." Mk. 2:27 - ".....the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath." This is speaking of the law of the O.T. and it being fulfilled in Jesus. We obey the law of the old when we obey Jesus commandments.
